"So where was she last night?" I ask, my voice rough.
Vince pulls out a folder, and places it on the coffee table in front of me. "Oh, you are going to love this," he says, the smile he gives me so eerie my eye twitches in response.
I pick up the folder and open it. My jaw tightens, the veins on my temples prominent. It's a picture of my uncle's gaudy nightclub.
Vince takes one last sip of his whiskey. "Rumor has it that they are fucking."
"Just fucking?" I manage to say.
"Isn't it a coincidence that the mother of the woman you devoted yourself to for the past year or so after a suspicious incident is in bed with your uncle? Coincidence? I don't think so."
I 'tsk' in annoyance as I toss the file back onto the table.
"I can investigate for you, but it will take some time," Vince offers.
