"I will think about it," I say, my voice still slightly shaky.
"Okay," Vega says, before pulling the covers up to his waist and walking into the bathroom.
I stand there, slightly confused. That "okay" had a slight undertone of someone who was disappointed.
I quickly walk out of the bedroom and immediately bump into Catarina in the hallway.
Catarina smiles happily. "Good morning, how was your sleep?"
I look like a child who has been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. I pull my robe even tighter around me.
"I slept fine. Did you sleep well?" My response is wildly irrational for a very normal question, but it clearly indicates my guilt.
Catarina's smile only grows bigger like she could jump up and touch the sky. I immediately turn and run off into my own room.
