We reach the laundry room, and there is Catarina inside, holding a small torch. A man is hunched over, trying to fix the electrical panel.
"What's wrong?" Vega asks.
"We seem to have a blown fuse," Catarina reports. "I will have someone bring a new one, but it will take some time."
"Turn on the solar lights outside," Vega instructs.
"Yes, Boss."
Vega turns to me. "Let's go," he says, grabbing one of the lantern lamps for emergencies from a cupboard near the wall.
I follow Vega, surprisingly very obedient, clinging to his arm as we move through the darkened house, the lantern casting huge, dancing shadows.
When we get upstairs to my bedroom, Vega stops. He hands me the lantern. "Get in," he says.
"What if there's an attacker in there?" I whisper, my eyes wide. "Go take a look." I need him to check first.
Vega lets out an audible sigh before walking in, and I finally let go of his arm. He scans the room with the beam of the lantern.
