The competition..
It's finally the day... everyone is eager, each family rooting for their champions, Emma's has the most family, his dad,his ex girlfriends,his dad's friends and his mum.
Jeff on the other hand has his step mum and brother and the organizers rooting for him,,he only cared about one person though.
Steve's POV:
I am with mum and I realized the smaller events are just taking places.
I saw him go into the dressing room and I took permission from mum to go see him.
"Hey"
He turned abruptly
"Hi"
"Are you feeling tense??"
"Not really but I am now*
"Because of me"
He moved closer to me and pulled me into a hug
"Jeff what are you doing"
"I just need all the luck I can get and it's from you"
I smiled and held him, his breath was warm against my neck, his body was still and strong but it was my safe zone, now I feel like I am his safe zone as well..
"You are fine alright, whatever happens just know I am still here with you "
I moved out as I noticed others come in.
Emma was also preparing, Clinton was busy texting him as he couldn't make it to the dressing room as other people were there,,other people's families were also moving in and out in groups.
The president arrived and some government people, the place was filled up.

The competitors all moved to the their spots
The competition starts in few seconds but something happened, the third person was replaced with a new person which was strange cause no one has seen this face before....he looked very competitive, a handsome one at that,tall, athletic body and dark. Emma was tense but Jeff just smiled.
Announcer:
"All ready....5.....4.....3....2....1!!!!!!"
They all dived into the water and started moving.
Emma's POV
We all moved into the water and started moving,,,all my mind was focused on Clinton and winning I don't want to marry no Senate's daughter not yet.
Then it happened I couldn't move....I was stuck under water I had cramps and it seized me, I wasn't moving and time was moving fast, I started panicking,,I took of my mask
Without thinking twice I started pulling I couldn't move I still can not move.
The next thing I knew I was screaming and people were screaming...at that moment I knew someone already won the competition and no one remembers I was still in the water. Then.....
Clinton's POV
I saw others swimming ashore but i didn't see him, jeff won the competition and the other new person came second but I can't see Emma, Emma was no where to be found, his family members started leaving no one cared to check on him,
Then I saw him he was stuck in the middle of the pool struggling to move, I didn't think I dived into the water and caught him, I dragged him out but he was already unconscious...I was crying...the medical team came and moved him out as others rushed forward to known if he was fine.

His dad was contacted and he was rushed to the hospital after being revived, he woke up crying profusely at disappointing his dad and everyone hating him, Clinton kept telling him to shut up and get better before thinking of other people's feelings.
His dad refused to show up, in his words Emma was pretending and that nothing was wrong with him.
His mum left with her husband and his siblings all forgot about him.
Jeff got awarded the$70k, zack was given $40k as second place and the rest people were awarded according to what they did.
Steve rushed forward immediately Jeff went into the changing room, he jumped on him the sceond he saw him and Jeff caught him and carried him but to his surprise Steve plastered a kiss on his lips he was frozen for a second...then he smiled as he noticed Steve got shy and buried his face in his shoulder,,the clapping sound was heard in the conner.
"Bravo bravo"
"Hey it's not what you think"
Steve tried to explain but Jeff dragged him back.
"Yeah what.... are you innocent???"
"You know him??"
"Yes he is my course mate and I hate him"
Steve couldn't help but notice how handsome Zack was, he was very very attractive and for some reason he felt his eyes on him.
Henry, Kevin, david and Clinton all stood around Emma's bed.
"Hey man"
They all attended the competition and saw what happened.
"We are here for you alright, we will go home with you, if your dad wants to punish you then he has to punish us as well and I don't think my dad will take that lightly"
That was Kevin.
He was holding Israel's hand as he spoke, Emma noticed, David's hand was on Henry's shoulder as well, they all seems too close. He turned and his eyes met with Clinton's and he asked.
"Who won"
"Jeff did and the new kid took second"
"Well deserved,he deserved the award"
"You deserved it too"
Clinton sat on the bed now and hugged him
"Don't worry dear let's go home"
...
Their mum was already in her car waiting as they approached hand in hand.
"Mum it's getting late go home me and baby will head out to celebrate"
It was Jeff.
She smiled he rarely called her mum
"Ok then I will head home are you guys coming back today or tomorrow"
"Mum this is the weekend we will be away for two days"
She wasn't against them leaving home ro going on vacation but...she felt it wasn't right but then again she has a trip in few days.
"Your clothes??"
"All sorted"
"Ok here is my black card"
"Ma black card in Nigeria??"

They took it and left as she smiled to herself and the award in the car with her.
