To all the fellow wanderers, who have perserved through the previous Damnation.
Have you ever wondered, how do the Awakened people in the 'New Earth' ā level up?. Are the Abysswalkers just called Abysswalkers, or do they even have names for their grades.
Well, the author did wonder, and the answer he came up with ā was fairly simple.
Firstly...
He gave them armour ā plot armour.
Secondly...
You might be wondering, why am "I"ā the holder of plot knowledge is speaking in such corny and cringe theatrics.
("I" is not an author's pet. So you can complain all you want.)
Then fret not, because the author also didn't wonder that time, when he wrote this. He literally wrote this fucking text in 10 minutes.
Just like his motto: "'I' doesn't create plot, 'I' creates plot-holes."
Mind that, the "I", he is referring to is ā me.
Who can tell him that, my plot is so thick that the plot-holes get filled when I put it in.
Yeah! I know, that guy is beyond any saving.
So, leaving the author beside and the jokes aside.
Let's begin.

[ Archives ā 3 Abysswalkers, Rank ups and cores. ]
Abysswalkers range from grade-8, to all the way upto grade-1.
[Hint: There does exist a grade higher than grade-1, but it is just a hypothesis made by the 'Sentinels' ā they like to call this hypothetical grade, whose powers are paradoxical in nature as ā Crux grade or in simpler terms, gradeā0]
The grades ā 8,7,6,5 are called 'Walkers' collectively, due to their low intelligence.
Grade-4: is the starting point, where the Abysswalkers gains an amount of battle IQ and posseses some amount of intelligence. This grade is termed as Reaver.
Grade-3: Encountering them is same as, reading your own epilogue in a coffin ā 6m under the ground. This grade is termed as Titan.
Gradeā2: One word ā Brutal. This grade is termed as Monolith.
Grade-1: You are on your own homeboy. This grade is termed as Sentinent.
Grade-0: !!!!
[ Soulborn Revenants are those Abysswalkers which have gained a portion of their victims soul ā memory, power etc. ]

[ Ranking up and cores. ]
For the Awakened ranking up isn't easy, its deadly.
First of all, all the Awakened rank up by assimillating or absorbing the Abyssal-cores.
Mind that, the Abyssal cores are gained when you kill an Abysswalker. In ninety-nine percent of the cases, the creatures, do drop the cores, but in the 1 percent case: the cores are not dropped, which happens when the Abysswalkers is just a newborn or hasn't absorbed most of the mana from its surrounding to fill its core.
The Reason for which the Abysswalkers need mana is simple. Imagine that their body has a miracle organ, which absorbs the pure mana from the surrounding and stores it compactly like an object in its body, and from that object the miracle organ produces corrupted mana, which flows through its entire body.
Simple right?
It's simple indeed.
As when you kill it, the Abysswalkers might drop a shard like thingy or in the cases of a higher grade, the mana which is supposed to be stored in the shard gets stored in some of or in one of it's organ.
The higher the grade of the Abysswalkers , the purer the mana and quantity stored in it.
It's told that, the Awakened should only absorb the core which is directly proportional to their rank.
Because, imagine that a balloon is getting filled with air, except now the balloons mouth is fitted to an industrial grade turbine.
You know what will happen, don't you.
Well first of all, the balloon won't even fit to a turbine. And even if it did, the balloon will just get blasted away from the sheer force.
Same with the Awakened body, as the more you rank up, the more your body toughens up from the inside and the outside to handle more mana in its pure forms.
After reading all this, please don't ask this question which even the author asked me.
"Well, if the mana is present in the surrounding, then can't the superpower people just cultivate." He asked, while holding his luxuriously cheap stylus pen.
To which I replied. "Daijoubu desu yo, author-sama." While staring at his stylus, which was tapping on my precious matte sur-FACE, impatiently.
See.
Unlike those heaven favoured sons and daughters of destiny.
The Awakened humans, simply cannot do this shit. Because, just like the air around us which hosts many elements like Nitrogen, Oxygen, carbondioxide and blah...blah, in it.
The same applies for mana in the surrounding.
And like I mentioned earlier, the Abysswalkers have a miracle organ which helps them to filter out those Impurities.
But the mana in the surrounding do help the humans, by recovering their injuries rapidly or while using their skills. Note that, the higher the mana sync, the more you can use the mana from the surrounding.
Please Note again, that the rank of Abyssal-cores is tied to its Abysswalker grade.

[ Artifacts ]
The bonded Artifacts are not usually ranked, due to the fact that you need 100% synchronization to use it to its full potential.
While the other item Artifacts are graded similarly to human grading.
The information about the item Artifact is shown on your status screen when you assimillate or bond with it.
The Artifacts can be one time or multiple use ones.
