"Wait! Wait! Wait!" Serena exclaimed the moment Liz went silent. "You're telling me that someone's being sent here?! Do they even have a say in all this?!"
Her mind was barely able to process that this whole thing had become a mission, let alone one that had someone picked out for her to help… She didn't even want to think about the reward.
It was too tempting. Which was the point honestly.
"The priest does have a say in this and he agreed to it." Liz answered. "Quite happily too I must add."
Serena cringed at those words. "Really…?"
"I mean he did grow up training to be a priest of the Beast God and has now been given the divine duty of siring and raising the Beast God's righthand men, so it's not that strange." Liz mused. "Are you worried about his looks or something? You could choose another priest if you really want to… The Beast God just thought he was doing you the favor since you seem against the idea of having mates and cubs."
