When she finally got back to the hut after getting Kiro at the village center, she found Theo already back. He was sitting in front of the hut, preparing lunch. From the looks of it, they were having roasted meat skewers.
He glanced over at her and took a sniff, frowning as he asked, "Why do you smell like a bird?"
"Probably because I accidentally found a nest of them." Serena replied, setting her basket down. She then carefully brought out the eggs she found. "Look I got a nest of eggs."
"I see…" Theo mused, glancing at the six small eggs. "I'm surprised they nested so close to the village."
Serena was about to agree, wanting to hide the fact that she actually found it while hunting some wild birds. However, Kiro spoke up first.
"Can we have eggs?" Kiro asked excitedly, almost drooling at the sight. "We haven't had them for so long!"
