Sitting in my room in the Nephelim institute, I read through the documents that Masaomi sent through from the Vatican to my laptop while I still had him on call.
"How sure are you about the authenticity of this information?"
"Very sure, My Lord. I was personally invited by this so-called Khaos Brigade because of my relationship with Cleria."
"Hm. This is troubling news, Masaomi. If what they told you is even remotely true, then I will need to speed up my plans even further."
Masaomi's determined voice came through the speaker.
"We are ready, My Lord."
"Haha! Don't worry. For now, you and the others won't be deployed since things are still within acceptable parameters with sufficient time left to strengthen everyone. That being said, how are you holding up?"
I can tell without even looking at his face that he must be grinning from ear to ear right now.
How can he not when he can literally see his experience, which shows how his efforts in training are increasing his power, along with how much Holy Energy he is slowly accumulating as he trains.
"I am doing very good, My Lord. In fact, Cleria says that I am already twice as strong as I was a few months ago. Although this newly enhanced Holy Energy is causing a bit of a problem in my personal life."
At his downcast voice, I could not help but wince in sympathy.
I guess he can't go to bed with his lover with his rapidly strengthening Holy Energy unless he wants to incinerate her.
"Just hold out for a month or two. The next 'patch' for the System will help resolve these problems."
"Thank you, My Lord."
"Masa-nii! Come play with us!"
"Hey! Let him work! Can't you see he is busy?"
"But-"
When the call was disconnected from the other side, probably by one of the children from the church, I could not help but laugh a little.
I guess it was a good decision to have Masaomi and a few other younger Exorcists help look after the two dozen children that I brought back from the dead from the Holy Sword Project.
The way they quickly took to calling him brother and followed him around like ducklings, while the few teenagers looked up to him, shows the validity of my judgment.
That being said, I really do need to start working seriously on finding the other three Holy Relics to bring the next patch in the Heavenly System.
The first set of changes has been really good for the human race as a whole, given how Supernatural activity in the human world has dropped by nearly half in the past month, along with people suddenly going 'missing' and being erased from existence after being reincarnated by the devils, falling to an all-time low.
However, given that the Sacred Gears have all been reset to their base forms and skills (a necessary step to remove any random mutations and to take away unstable power-ups, like the Balance Breakers that could be harmful to the user), I need to start finding ways to protect humanity in the short term.
To that end, I have a plan.
To introduce a similar system to the entirety of humanity, just like the one that the Sacred Gear users have.
The problem, however, is that it will be quite the shock to humanity if a screen appears in front of their faces out of nowhere. So, I will need to plan out how I want to roll out those changes.
To that end, I want to borrow from human fiction, specifically, the Korean style of fiction, and introduce minor disasters in the form of 'Gates', which will be created by the Heavenly System and release 'Monsters' into the human world.
However, I know that there will be mass casualties when the Gates open, so I will have to introduce the System screens to the humans beforehand to reduce such a possibility.
Maybe I will give the systems to the humans a few months in advance, before the first gates open, and give them the warning for what is to come?
The plan is still rough around the edges and needs to be refined further. I will need to find a way to make sure that there are no casualties whatsoever from this plan, not to mention the political, economic, and territorial issues that will inevitably arise from enacting such drastic changes. i even need to find ways to extend this plan's reach into the territories of other pantheons somehow, so that will be a shitshow that I am not looking forward to.
Again, this is just a rough plan that needs a lot of work before it is put into practice, so there is still a long time before I think of implementing this plan into action.
The biggest problems here are the source of the 'Monsters' and how I will strengthen humanity through the Heavenly System.
To generate the monsters, which I will base on both real, supernatural creatures, as well as monsters from YGGDRASIL, I will need absurd amounts of energy, even more than the practically limitless energy that the Heavenly System now has access to, if I want to generate them from scratch.
Thankfully, there is an alternative.
The Longinus-Class Sacred Gear, Annihilation Maker.
A Sacred Gear that was born from the 'bugged' system of the past, which created this weapon from God's concept of creation, which it siphoned from his Construct that lived in the Core.
It is a weapon of such power that, if the user's imagination and knowledge are vast and powerful enough, it can even create monsters on the same level as the Heavenly Dragons of old.
Thankfully, I managed to bring back the Sacred Gear before it awakened within its current host, a toddler from an orphanage in London.
Thanks to my mastery over the Heavenly System, it was a completely painless process to take away the Sacred Gear without causing any harm to the boy.
With the Annihilation Maker as the base, a part of the problem in my plan is resolved.
But the other problem still remains.
Holy Energy.
My plan calls for absurd levels of energy on the part of the Heavenly System since it would need that energy to infuse the Monsters generated within the Gates with said Holy Energy, which the 'Hunters' would gain in the form of 'Exp', strengthening them on a fundamental level, not to mention the 'materials' that will be generated in the Gates for humanity to harvest and use for themselves.
Gates open in the human world. Monsters are generated in the Gates by the System. Humans will defeat the monsters. Dead monsters will dissipate into holy energy, which will enter the humans who kill them. Hunters will become stronger with each kill while also increasing their life span, and the cycle will repeat again.
Between this cycle, I will also incorporate the Karma system to make sure that greed does not end up being the undoing of humanity in these times. But how that will work is something that I have yet to consider.
...Maybe it is better to call this a bare bones plan instead of a rough plan?
Anyways, the biggest problem for this plan is Holy Energy requirement since the System cannot output that kind of power needed to support the number of monsters that will be born in the Gates while also supporting me and the other Angels, as well as suppressing the other supernaturals on Earth.
To that end, I am collecting the Four Holy Relics that God left behind in the Sacred Gear system while also looking into other Sacred Gears that can assist me in solving the problems I am facing.
I am hoping that with the four holy relics having residues of God's power in them, I can upgrade the system once again and make it possible to implement my plan, alongside another one of my plans, which I promised Masaomi and Cleria.
The option for any other race in the world to switch into being a human, including the half-humans across the world.
Truthfully, given how eager Cleria had been for this update in the System, I like to think that there will be many people in the world who would want to change into being humans from their current race.
But those plans are for the future.
Right now, I still need to track down the other three relics while also dealing with this newly revealed organization called Khaos Brigade.
Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, I continued working on my laptop, looking through the details of the organization while also looking at buying out available lands in the major cities of the world.
After all, I have not forgotten the promise I made to myself all those months ago. A promise to protect this world and make sure that it does not walk on the same path as my old one.
To that end, I will need to change things both on the Supernatural and Mundane levels.
And what better way is there to achieve the mundane aspect of it than establishing my own company and then dominating the human world with it?
