The lights still flickered from the projector.Serina's voice — calm, soft, full of warmth — lingered in the silence.

"Jay… if you're watching this, I wouldn't be alive anymore. Kaizer would have found me. You'll find the proof from where it began. Stay calm, and destroy him."

Then the screen went black.

No one spoke.Only the faint hum of the camera filled the heavy air.

Jay sat frozen, her hands cold. Serina's last words echoed in her head — Kaizer…

But before anyone could move—

BANG.

The huge double doors of the mansion swung open.Wind rushed in, scattering petals and blowing out half the candles on the cake.

And there he was.

Kaizer Watson.Alive. Smirking. Dressed in black like a shadow that refused to die.

Keifer's fists clenched.Adam and Michael immediately stepped forward, instinctively shielding Jay.

Lia's voice came low and sharp. "You've got five seconds to explain how you're still breathing."

Kaizer laughed, slow and mocking. "Come now, is that how you greet an old family friend?"

"Friend?" Michael's voice dripped venom. "You mean parasite?"

Kaizer's eyes landed on Jay. "You've grown, Jasper Jean. Just like your mentor."

Jay's gaze hardened. "Don't. Say. Her. Name."

"Oh, but I must," he said calmly. "After all, Serina and I shared a bond—one that you clearly inherited."

Keifer stepped between them, jaw tight. "You don't talk about my mother."

Kaizer's expression flickered — just for a second. "Ah yes, the son. You've got her fire. Pity she didn't survive to see you waste it."

Before anyone could move, Michael barked a bitter laugh."Still running your mouth? I'm shocked you can after the four months you spent recovering from us."

Kaizer's smile faltered, eyes narrowing. "Ah. You're the little pests who jumped me that night."

Sam tilted his head. "Jumped? You mean saved someone you tried to kill?"

Adam smirked. "We call that self-defense. You call it hospitalization."

For a split second, the air in the hall burned with memory — Serina's face, the chaos, Jay at ten years old standing in front of a gun.

Kaizer's gaze shifted again to Jay."You remind me of her too much. Brave. Reckless. Doomed."

Lia stepped forward, her tone dangerously calm. "One more word, Kaizer, and I'll end that sentence with your obituary."

Kaizer chuckled, eyes glinting. "The mafia queen herself. Lovely to see you too, Lia del Nova."

"Keep talking," Lia said sweetly. "I'm calculating the price of your coffin."

Percy whispered to Aries, "I swear, this party's gonna need a crime scene cleanup crew."

Cin muttered back, "I'm just surprised no one's thrown a table yet."

Kaizer's gaze swept the hall once more — across every face, every tense stance — before settling on the towering mansion windows."Beautiful place," he murmured. "Hidden so well… I almost couldn't find it."

Jay stiffened. "Almost?"

Kaizer's smirk deepened. "Someone gave me the coordinates. I just followed the trail."

A ripple of confusion passed through the room.

"Someone?" Keifer's tone darkened. "Who?"

Kaizer shrugged lazily. "Now, where's the fun in revealing my secrets so soon?"

And just like that, he turned, walking back toward the doors — leaving tension like a stain behind him.

"Consider this," Kaizer said over his shoulder, voice low. "Serina started something she couldn't finish. I intend to."

Then he was gone. The echo of his footsteps faded, but the unease didn't.

Everyone stood frozen — no one breathing, no one daring to speak first.

Finally, Keifer exhaled sharply. "Jay…"

She looked at him, expression unreadable but her voice steady. "I know."

"You're thinking what I'm thinking?"

Jay nodded slowly, eyes narrowing toward the door."Someone told him where to find us."

And for the first time that night — the birthday lights, the laughter, even the warmth — turned cold.
