Martian Manhunter is a low-key and justice-driven hero; he's actually very similar to Superman.
Both are survivors of their own Planets, both are aliens, and both possess powerful abilities and obvious weaknesses.
Superman is afraid of Kryptonite, and Martian Manhunter is afraid of Fire!
Uh, the fact that Martian Manhunter is afraid of Fire is a bit like Thor being afraid of electricity; it sounds a bit absurd at first listen!
However, Thor's fear of electricity is due to a physical reason, while Martian Manhunter's fear of Fire is due to a psychological reason!
Because when he was on Mars, he witnessed his wife and daughter being burned to ashes by fire, leaving him with a huge psychological trauma.
When near flames, he becomes unable to use his abilities or control his physical form!
Although both are outsiders, Martian Manhunter isn't as high-profile as Superman.
He hasn't revealed his identity at all, but instead hid among humans, rising through the ranks as a human, and has now even become a General.
He's doing much better than the Martian Manhunter from Earth-3, which is the [Supergirl] World!
Samuel's perception of his personality, character, abilities, and human identity were all quite good, so he didn't act too aggressively.
"The Star Sapphire Corps is another name for the Violet Lantern Corps.
You must have heard of the Green Lantern Corps, right?
Billions of years ago, when the Guardian of the Universe were preparing to establish the Green Lantern Corps, a portion of the female Oans disagreed with the Guardian's approach of abandoning emotions and left Oa."
"They chose Love, and after finding the Star Sapphire, the core of the violet light energy, they formed the Star Sapphire Corps!"
"The Green Lantern Corps and the Violet Lantern Corps, including the other Seven Lantern Corps, all draw their power from emotion."
"Green Lantern is Will, Violet Lantern is Love."
"Only those who are deeply devoted and unwavering in their feelings are likely to be chosen by the Violet Lantern ring and become a member of the Violet Lantern Corps!"
Samuel was very interested in the emotional spectrum power of the Seven Lantern Corps.
The emotional spectrum is an energy field generated by the emotions of all life forms in the Universe, and it is also seven hidden creative forces; it created the current Multiverse!
Red Lantern of Rage.
Orange Lantern of Avarice.
Yellow Lantern of Fear.
Green Lantern of Will.
Blue Lantern of Hope.
Indigo Lantern of Compassion.
Violet Lantern of Love.
Besides these, there are also the Black Lantern of Death and the White Lantern of Life.
These all belong to the visible emotional spectrum.
There is also the invisible emotional spectrum, including ultraviolet light, X-rays, radio waves, gamma rays, and microwaves.
Samuel didn't know much about the invisible emotional spectrum, only that they existed.
There has been too little display of the Seven Lantern Corps in this Universe; the only appearance was during the ancient war against Darkseid, where a Green Lantern participated and was killed.
This Green Lantern should be Yalan Gur.
According to the comics, he was a top elite in the Green Lantern Corps, but later became a tyrant who enslaved ancient Eastern Earth.
After his Death, his Lantern ring eventually fell into the hands of Alan Scott, which also created the special nature of Alan Scott's ring.
As for Alan Scott, he is the first Green Lantern in comic history and one of the founders of the Justice Society of America.
To add, his two wives and children are not simple either.
His ex-wife is the personality-split Floronic Man, who joined the Birds of Prey; his current wife is a hero somewhat similar to a female Joker, the original Harlequin.
The Joker Girl was originally born in the image of Harlequin, but later split off to become The Joker Girl.
His son is the hero Obsidian, and his daughter is the first female Green Lantern on Earth, 'Jade'!
Samuel felt that he could try to find this family later and first get his hands on the ability of the Green Lantern of Will!
"So, at some point in the future, Major Ferris will become a member of the Violet Lantern Corps and become the leader of the Violet Lantern Corps?" Martian Manhunter said.
Samuel nodded: "You could say that, but the future isn't set in stone.
Many times, a small change can create a butterfly effect, leading to completely different changes in the future."
Martian Manhunter nodded and then stopped mentioning Major Ferris and the Violet Lantern Corps.
His real purpose for wanting to meet Samuel was to know Samuel's identity and his intentions!
They could let the matter of Dream Prison go without explanation, they could just tolerate it, but they at least needed to know what Samuel wanted to do, right?
They couldn't keep being on edge!
Martian Manhunter's original plan was to talk with Samuel.
If they could talk, it would be a happy outcome for everyone.
If they couldn't talk, he would act.
After all, Samuel's actions and his dangerousness had already affected the safety of life and order...
Through the brief contact, although Martian Manhunter didn't fully grasp Samuel's background and personality, overall, he shouldn't be the kind of ambitious villain who wants to destroy the World.
Martian Manhunter conveyed ARGUS's intentions, and Samuel also stated his attitude.
He had no intention of governing the World or destroying the World, so if others didn't offend him, he wouldn't offend others.
If he did offend others, they should just tolerate it!
Anyway, his target was just various metahumans.
Once he achieved his goal, he naturally wouldn't expand the scope.
If they couldn't tolerate it, then they could fight!
"I can agree to Your terms, but I hope You will try Your best not to let things escalate to an unmanageable point.
Also—if Earth faces a major crisis, I hope You can lend a hand!"
Martian Manhunter wasn't angry about Samuel's arrogant terms.
In fact, having been on Earth for so long, he had already adapted to the rules of human society, and he himself was even a part of those rules.
Giving Samuel special privileges was quite normal!
To put it bluntly, what Samuel wanted was just another Dream Prison, another Suicide Squad.
This had no impact whatsoever on ARGUS, or rather, on the higher-ups.
Whatever Samuel set his sights on, he could just take.
The remaining people could still do some shady things for them in their Suicide Squad.
If a major crisis really occurred, they could also ask Samuel for help, right?
Earth is mine, and it is also Yours.
Protecting Earth is everyone's responsibility!
"Knock, knock, knock."
A knock sounded at the door.
Martian Manhunter responded, and Carol Ferris came in, belatedly carrying two cups.
"Your efficiency isn't great; are You brewing fresh coffee beans?" Samuel picked up the coffee and joked to Carol Ferris, then raised an eyebrow: "Hmm, it's a bit slow, but the craftsmanship is quite good."
"Are You interested in changing Boss and becoming my secretary?"
Carol Ferris glanced at the indifferent General, shook her head, and refused: "I'm not interested!"
"Really not interested?"
Samuel pretended to be regretful, shook his head, waved his hand to open a portal, and took out a few models.
"You used to be a test pilot, right?
Don't You want to own Your own fighter jet?"
"A Quinjet, want to try it?"
