North Pole.
Snow-capped mountains, frozen for thousands of miles.
The biting cold wind swept across the sky, and looking from afar, there was nothing but an endless expanse of ice and snow plains.
The golden portal added a second color to the monotonous polar region. Through the portal, Barbara and Veronica, wearing thick coats, walked out with Samuel.
As the cold wind blew, the two shivered instantly, and their thick coats suddenly felt insufficient.
It was too cold!
Samuel, still wearing a single layer of clothing, didn't have their troubles. He already possessed Loki's cold immunity ability, and coupled with the numerous basic abilities of the Atlanteans he had recently acquired, this level of cold was nothing to his current physical condition.
Samuel slowly floated upwards from the ground, his speed neither fast nor slow. After dozens of seconds, he stopped in mid-air and activated his X-ray vision, his deep gaze searching through the thick ice layer.
"Not here."
Samuel shook his head silently and flew away into the distance with a whoosh, then controlled his speed, searching as he flew.
His current fastest Flight speed should be able to reach dozens of times the speed of sound. He hadn't tested exactly how fast it was, mainly because there weren't many opportunities for Flight in normal times; a single portal could get him anywhere he wanted to go.
"Found it."
A few minutes later, Samuel's eyes lit up, and he quickly arrived above a certain ice layer.
Beneath the deep floating snow and thick ice layer, a huge spaceship was quietly parked there.
Samuel waved his hand and opened a portal to bring Barbara and Veronica over. Veronica, shivering, was about to speak when she saw Samuel's eyes instantly turn crimson. Immediately after, his Hot Ray blasted towards the ice layer.
A sizzling sound of burning echoed, and soon, an ice cave large enough for two or three people to walk side-by-side appeared on the ice layer.
Samuel walked in, continuing to carve out the passage with his Hot Ray.
Before long, they had arrived at the spaceship's location.
The spaceship's hatch was open, and because the spaceship and the ice layer had merged into one, it looked like an 'underground ruin' at first glance.
Barbara and Veronica were already dumbfounded. On one side was ice, and on the other was metal. This feeling of being one step away from two completely different Worlds was no less intense than when they stood in the portal and arrived at the North Pole.
"This... this is a spaceship? An alien spaceship?" Veronica whispered in surprise.
"Swish."
A one-meter-high metal console instantly emerged from the originally empty metal corridor.
There were no displays or buttons on the console, only a small indentation. The shape of the indentation was the El Family symbol.
In the movie, when Clark Kent first came here, he used the El Family necklace around his neck to activate this spaceship. In other words, if he didn't pass the identity verification, he would be attacked by the robots on the spaceship.
"What is this!"
Barbara suddenly exclaimed. A cone-shaped machine had floated over beside her at some point, and mechanical chains had already wrapped around Barbara.
"Bang bang bang!"
Gunshots rang out abruptly. Veronica held her pistol with both hands and fired several shots at the machine, but not even a dent or a scratch was left.
"Get off me!" Barbara shouted, pulling back on the ropes and directly using force to pull the machine over, then kicking it into the air.
"Bang!"
The machine was kicked directly away.
This kick caused the machine to directly dent and crack, with sporadic sparks flashing. The machine twitched a few times on the ground and then fell silent.
"Friday."
Samuel raised his void battle bead, and Friday's projection instantly appeared.
"Handle it."
"Okay, Boss."
Friday smiled sweetly and looked at the console with interest. Then, a thread composed of nano-particles appeared from the void battle bead, which then transformed into the shape of the El Family symbol and was directly inserted into the indentation.
It fit perfectly!
Kryptonian technology was still very advanced, but they didn't place much emphasis on artificial intelligence, and their defense mechanisms weren't very advanced either.
Friday was considered a top-tier artificial intelligence, and during her free time recently, Samuel would also let her study the codex of life.
Before meeting Veronica, Samuel had originally planned to have Friday oversee the cultivation of the Kryptonians.
"Buzz!"
Rows of hidden lights on the corridor suddenly lit up, and then a figure appeared at the end of the corridor. However, before they could see clearly, this person turned and disappeared.
"Swish."
Another figure appeared, but this time it was Friday.
She had completely taken control of this spaceship and had achieved more freedom in holographic technology using the spaceship's technology.
The void battle bead returned to its original state. Samuel walked towards the depths of the corridor and asked Friday, "Introduce the situation of this spaceship."
"Okay, Boss."
"This spaceship is a Kryptonian scout ship, numbered 0344, and the captain is Kara Zor-El."
"The crew members were Lin Dark, Huo Pa, Skye Cose, and Elsie, and they are all now deceased."
"An unregistered stowaway, Defoe Emm, destroyed their hibernation pods and killed them, and was later shot dead by the awakened Captain Kara Zor-El. The spaceship was damaged as a result, forced to land here, and activated its hibernation program."
"The surviving Kara Zor-El left this scout ship and is currently unaccounted for. Do you need to find her?"
"Not for now."
Samuel shook his head. He just wanted to shout a few 'Good heavens'.
The captain of this scout ship was actually Kara Zor-El.
Who was she?
She was Superman's cousin, the future Supergirl! If he remembered correctly, this scout ship landed on Earth a long, long time ago.
Wasn't the age difference between the cousin and the younger cousin a bit too disparate?
Uh, the origin of Superman and Supergirl on Earth-38 in the parallel Universe was a bit more normal!
Samuel asked Friday in detail about Kara Zor-El and learned that after the forced landing, she didn't leave immediately, but after trying to start the spaceship without success, she re-entered the hibernation pod, hoping that Krypton would discover the anomaly of this scout ship and send people to investigate.
As a powerful and warlike race in the Universe, Kryptonians were somewhat similar to Saiyans in some respects. Warlike Kryptonians would dispatch many scout ships to understand the situation of other star systems and Planets, and sometimes long periods of hibernation during the journey were quite normal.
Therefore, it was also reasonable that Kara Zor-El entered hibernation and then countless years passed like this.
According to the spaceship's records, Kara Zor-El left this spaceship only a few years ago!
