Chapter 155 - Chapter 155: The Queen's Allegiance

Samuel looked at the shocked Atlanta with a smile, pretending not to have heard and asked, "What did you just say 'so' about?"

"No, nothing, this is—"

"Dimensional Gate."

As Samuel spoke, he used Old Loki's magic to create an illusion of Atlanta, then wrapped his arm around the stunned Atlanta and went through the portal to the other side of the shore.

"Helen Alexandra, descendant of Zeus."

"Venilia, Amazonian, former Paradise Island Guard member."

"Atlanta, current Queen of Atlantis."

Samuel introduced them to each other.

Helen was alright, just curious about Atlantis and its Queen, then slightly disappointed.

How did the ancient and mysterious underwater kingdom of Atlanteans look no different from the aliens adopted by the Kent couple?

Was everything about mermaids fake?

Venilia's focus was different. She knew very well what the Queen of Atlantis meant. In terms of status, she was on par with Queen Hippolyta.

She truly hadn't expected that the Atlantean Samuel caught would be the Queen of Atlantis.

"You chat. I'll continue basking in the Sun."

Samuel walked towards a nearby lounge chair on his own and continued to bask in the Sun.

Three women make a play. After awkwardly looking at each other for a few moments, their curiosity about each other quickly broke the silence, and they started chatting back and forth.

What Atlanta wanted to know most was whether the Amazonians truly pledged allegiance to Samuel. If so, what changes had Samuel made to the Amazonians, and what price had the Amazonians paid.

Venilia basically didn't hide anything. She had already guessed that the purpose of Samuel bringing the Queen of Atlantis here to ask these questions was likely to first subdue the Queen, then have the Queen step forward to completely subdue all of Atlantis, just as he had done on Paradise Island.

She was definitely happy to see this happen, so when Atlanta asked, her answers were very factual!

Yes, factual!

There was no need to deliberately praise or beautify. What Samuel himself had done was already enough.

"Darkseid, who invaded Earth in ancient times, will make a comeback. His subordinates will come to Earth decades later to seize the Mother Boxes, which are guarded separately by Atlantis, the Amazonians, and humans?"

Atlanta's expression changed slightly. Although she was confident in Atlantis's strength, she knew the inside story about the Mother Boxes and Darkseid.

"He will protect Paradise Island?" Atlanta glanced at Samuel, who was lazily basking in the Sun, and somewhat understood why Paradise Island had pledged allegiance to him.

Venilia, however, shook her head, "We can protect Paradise Island ourselves."

Atlanta frowned and said, "How will you protect Paradise Island? The battle in ancient times had Zeus and other Gods participating. This time—"

"We are the Gods!"

Venilia suddenly reached out and summoned Stormbreaker, which had been brought over, from a distance.

As Stormbreaker entered her hand, the originally clear sky instantly became overcast, and the calm sea surface began to surge with waves.

With a loud crack, lightning split the sky.

Azure blue lightning flashed and danced around Venilia!

Atlanta was greatly alarmed and took several steps back, rapidly spinning her five-pronged trident to form an energy shield to block the impact that was like flying sand and stones.

"Paradise Island doesn't need the protection of other Gods, because we are the Gods, we are—Thunder Gods!"

Amidst the lightning and thunder, Venilia raised Stormbreaker high and said majestically.

Thunder God?

Atlanta softly murmured, then said, "You are very strong, but you alone cannot withstand Darkseid's army!"

Venilia's lips curved slightly, "Who said it's just me? There are over six hundred Thunder Gods like me in our Thunder God Legion!"

"In the future, there will be even more!"

Over six hundred Thunder Gods like her?

Thunder, Thunder God Legion?

Atlanta was dumbfounded. She was truly dumbfounded. Although they hadn't fought, she was certain that she was no match for Venilia.

Perhaps only by finding neptune's trident, which symbolizes Aquaman and can control the sea, would it be possible to defeat her.

And that was only perhaps.

Moreover, there was only one Aquaman, but there was an entire legion of Thunder Gods!

If the Thunder God Legion launched an attack on Atlantis, Atlantis would be completely unable to resist!

Samuel glanced at Venilia, who had stunned Atlanta. He hadn't expected that she, who was usually quiet and low-key, had also learned to show off.

It was quite good. The higher their status, the higher his own status would naturally be.

Venilia wasn't deliberately showing off to Atlanta. Doing this was partly to let her know Samuel's power and the benefits of pledging allegiance to him, and partly to demonstrate Paradise Island's current strength.

Atlanta was indeed stunned, and at the same time, she had already made a decision in her heart.

Pledge allegiance to Samuel!

This was not a difficult decision to make!

If she refused, even if Samuel did nothing, there were only two paths.

Either give up everything related to Atlantis, escape the marriage, and leave Atlantis completely.

Or fulfill the marriage contract, become a stepping stone for Ovakx to gain power, and soon after be invaded by Darkseid's people.

No matter which she chose, she would lose Atlantis.

Pledging allegiance to Samuel was different. He had the Thunder God Legion from Paradise Island. Whether it was to fight against Darkseid or help her unify the seven kingdoms, it should not be a problem.

Atlantis would continue to exist, and perhaps become even more glorious and powerful than before.

Apart from being somewhat hesitant about escaping the marriage, Atlanta was usually decisive, resolute, and efficient in other matters.

After making her decision, Atlanta went directly to Samuel and slowly knelt on one knee.

"I am willing to pledge allegiance to you on behalf of Atlantis."

Samuel nodded slightly and casually took out a Stormbreaker from the system and handed it to Atlanta, "Try it."

Atlanta took it in surprise and swung it. This axe was exactly the same as the one in Venilia's hand.

Aside from feeling a bit awkward to use, she didn't feel any special power, nor did she get the lightning and thunder reaction that Venilia did.

"Why?" Atlanta asked curiously.

Samuel, who had expected this, took back Stormbreaker and smiled, "You haven't gained its recognition, so you can't become a Thunder God and join the Thunder God Legion."

"It's alright. When I have time, I'll take you to find neptune's trident. It's more suitable for you Atlanteans."
