Chapter 156: Toying with Our Justice
Yuto quietly looked at the expression on Madara's face; although he did not know how the process went, the result was naturally Madara's defeat.
If not for relying on the forbidden technique "Izanagi," Madara would probably have already died.
"I was defeated, and Hashirama was heavily injured."
Madara spoke with a calm expression, though his voice carried a trace of a peculiar tone.
For a proud person like Madara, first joining hands with Hashirama to defeat Yuto, and then being defeated by Hashirama's hand.
These two events could be said to be a considerable blow to the consistently arrogant Madara.
Yuto frowned slightly and looked at Madara, continuing:
"If he is merely heavily injured, it is not enough to take Hashirama's life."
The corner of Madara's mouth tilted up slightly: "Indeed, it is not enough to take his life."
"But he still died." The corner of Yuto's mouth also tilted up.
Possessing the powerful physique of the Senju clan, coupled with the ability of Sage Mode, both Yuto and Madara, as former opponents of Hashirama, understood.
With Hashirama's powerful life force, even heavy injuries would not be enough to take his life.
After all, in Sage Mode, an ability like "Sealless Healing" was merely a passive trait for Hashirama.
Yet under these circumstances, Hashirama still died.
In other words, Hashirama did something that even he could not withstand.
Yuto raised his head and exchanged a glance with Madara; immediately, a smile appeared on both their faces.
"Before doing what I want to do, I should indeed confirm it."
Madara spoke in a somewhat low voice.
"That is correct; there are still too many players on this chessboard. When do we act?"
Yuto placed his hands behind his head and spoke indifferently.
Madara fell silent for a moment, then spoke: "In three days!"
After speaking, Madara turned and walked in the opposite direction; in the blink of an eye, he had already disappeared from Yuto's sight.
In just a few words, the two sides had reached a certain agreement.
Of course, rather than an agreement, it was more accurate to say that Madara or Yuto were merely using each other.
However, since their strengths were about equal, under these circumstances, the so-called exploitation instead became cooperation.
"Three days? He really is cautious."
Yuto looked in the direction Madara had disappeared and thought to himself.
With Black Zetsu and White Zetsu there, three days was enough time for Madara to obtain most of the current intelligence on the entire ninja world.
Thinking of this, Yuto shrugged; he could guess some of Madara's next moves, but they did not have much to do with him.
Relying on the powerful perception of Sage Mode, Yuto turned and walked toward a certain direction in the forest.
A place hundreds of meters away from the center of the battle.
Sensing the roaring sounds stop, Obito swallowed his saliva: "Is the battle over?"
"It seems it is over?"
Black Zetsu narrowed his eyes slightly and spoke indifferently.
Obito froze for a moment, revealing a curious look on his face: "I wonder who won."
Black Zetsu's eyes flickered slightly, and he did not speak; given the strength displayed by Madara and Yuto.
In such a short amount of time, the battle simply could not have ended this quickly.
In other words, had the two reached some kind of agreement?
Just then, a slight sound came from the front, interrupting Black Zetsu's thoughts.
In a few steps, Madara had already appeared in front of Obito and Black Zetsu.
Seeing Madara's indifferent expression, Obito stood up straight obediently.
"Go back."
Madara spoke indifferently.
As soon as Madara's words fell, Obito immediately activated the ability of the Sharingan, and a spatial vortex enveloped the three people.
Madara had a hint of amusement on his face: "A truly convenient ability."
Swish!
The next moment, accompanied by the disappearance of the spatial vortex, the three people had already vanished from the spot.
On the other side, Yuto, following the direction of his perception, walked toward a certain location in the forest as if strolling.
Step—
Step—
Footsteps stepped on the leaves in the forest, making a crisp sound.
Konan slowly raised her head and looked in the direction the sound of footsteps came from.
"You came, as expected."
Konan glanced at Yuto walking over, her face showing no surprise at all.
"Oh, you knew I would come."
Yuto glanced at Konan, who was half-kneeling, and the corpse of Nagato lying beside her, raising an eyebrow and revealing an amused expression.
"With your strength, if you really wanted to kill me, I would have no escape at all."
Konan stood up, looking straight at Yuto, and spoke with a calm voice.
Yuto's eyes held a trace of a smile as he said: "Then what else do you know?"
"I also know that the current Akatsuki organization has, I fear, already changed masters..."
Konan's face revealed a sorrowful expression as she said this, her voice pausing slightly.
Konan's gaze carried a determination she had never shown before as she looked at Yuto and said:
"Akatsuki is an organization founded by 'Yahiko'; the red clouds on the cloak we wear symbolize the wars that brought blood and wind to the Hidden Rain Village. Akatsuki was merely being controlled, but this cloak still represents our justice!"
"Nagato is no match for Madara, and neither am I; we can be defeated! But he must not toy with our justice! Even if he is Madara!"
"And you possess the power to contend with Madara; I can join the Hidden Mist Village!"
Konan's determined voice reached Yuto's ears, deepening the smile in Yuto's eyes, though his face remained completely calm.
"Your joining the Hidden Mist Village does not bring me much benefit. Besides, why do you think I would help you?"
Although Yuto had this idea from the beginning, he did not agree immediately; instead, he spoke indifferently.
"Although I am not clear what your true goal is, there is at least one thing I know: war is never the way to solve all problems."
"The entire Hidden Rain Village has always been managed by me; in the hearts of the Hidden Rain Village's civilians, my status is even higher than Nagato's. Madara only controls the Akatsuki organization, but he cannot control all the civilians and ninjas of the Hidden Rain Village."
"As long as I join the Hidden Mist Village, then the Hidden Rain Village will effectively belong to the Hidden Mist Village's jurisdiction."
Konan gazed at Yuto and spoke with a determined voice.
This method was the only way Konan could think of to move the Hidden Mist Village.
Of course, this method was not only to avenge Nagato but, more importantly, to protect the Hidden Rain Village
