Alicia's POV
My entire world was collapsing. That was the only thought that could form in my frozen mind.
All the time I'd spent with Malachi flashed before my eyes like a movie playing at double speed. The first time he'd looked at me with that intensity that made my breath catch. The night we'd first kissed. Intimacy we shared. The morning at the park when he'd won me that stupid stuffed rabbit and I'd felt happy for the first time in years. Every stolen moment. Every secret touch. Every whispered word in the darkness.
All of it exposed. All of it out in the open now.
I couldn't believe it. Couldn't process that our carefully guarded secret was suddenly public knowledge. That everyone in this room, everyone who mattered in Silver Lake City's social circles, now knew about Malachi and me.
