At her desk, Sarah, like the rest of her colleagues, was finishing her work; they stayed two hours longer at work today. She was hungry, and her stomach growled. Suddenly, the delivery guy brought food for everyone. Garth walked in and said, "Mr. Sterling's buying lunch for everyone today. He told me to thank you all for your hard work."
Sarah refused the food, saying she wasn't hungry.
Damien was watching the security camera in their office on his phone. Veins on his forehead pulsating. "She refused the food because I sent it? Is she that angry with me that she'd rather starve herself than eat the food I sent?" He then called his assistant, Jones, and told him, "Tell Mr. Ritchie to cancel his collaboration with James Holland if he still wants to do business with me." He then dropped his phone on the seat.
Johnny, seeing Damien miserable, spoke. "Shall we go home, boss?"
Damien: Drive to the Sterling Design.
Johnny turned the car on and drove.
Sarah received a text from James apologising for not being able to have dinner with her; something came up, and he needed to go have a meeting with his supplier. He said, "I'll make it up to you next week." Sarah just texted, "It's okay, take care of your work and stay safe." She already considered James her friend. He was somewhat a weird character—he liked to annoy people—but he was also a perfectionist when it came to his work, and she admired that. He respected her, and they shared the same profession, hence it was pretty easy to get along with him.
She walked outside when she spotted Damien's car. Then a window rolled down, and from the driver's seat, Johnny yelled, "Miss Walker, let's go home." She nodded and approached the car. Johnny got out and opened the car door for her, but she froze at the sight of Damien sitting in the back seat. He was typing something on his laptop, paying no attention to her.
Johnny: Yes, Miss Walker?
Sarah then turned to him and said, "Johnny, can I sit in the passenger seat this time?" Her eyes begged for him to say yes...
Then Damien growled, "Sit down!" His voice was commanding and cold. "You, drive!"
Sarah stood there speechless and scared. Johnny quickly ran to the other side towards the driver's seat. Sarah slowly sat down. She never heard Damien speaking to her like that before—almost murderous, authoritative. She felt like a disobedient child being scolded by her parent. She sat there in utter shock. She felt his gaze lingering on her...
They drove for ten minutes, and then the car stopped suddenly. Before Sarah could hit the seat in front of her, Damien's hand caught her, and she landed on his chest. Shock and fear were both visible on her face. She internally screamed, and the tears started falling down her face. She started shaking uncontrollably.
Damien hugged her tight. "Dammit, Johnny!" He yelled.
Johnny: Sorry, boss, a car sped up in front of us and abruptly stopped.
Damien held her, saying, "Shhhh... It's okay, it's okay, I'm here..." He kissed the top of her head... "I'm here..."
Sarah looked like she was in a trance. "Ethan...No!" She looked at Damien... "He's gone..." Tears rolled down her face...
Damien felt a pang of jealousy for a moment. She mentioned another man's name, and it pained him. He wasn't just jealous but crazily possessive of her. She was sobbing uncontrollably. He reached up, cupped her chin, and lifted it, his finger resting on her lower lip. Then he kissed her—kissed her until she stopped crying.
Sarah kissed him back... But her kiss was soft and gentle compared to his wild and possessive one. She then came to her senses and pushed him away, falling back in her seat, like she was burnt by fire. "Did I just scare her?" Damien thought... But he never said a word. He just took a tissue from his pocket and offered it to her while looking at his phone. She glanced at the tissue and quickly turned her head towards the window.
Damien's phone rang. It was his assistant, Jones. Jones said, "Sir, Mr. Ritchie cancelled his collaboration with James Holland. He said he hopes to continue working with you in the future." Damien said, "Good," and hung up.
Sarah wasn't eavesdropping, but she couldn't help but hear it. "Now I understand why James couldn't have dinner with me... Damien! This man is a monster; he's making things difficult for James."
A moment later, she turned to look at him, and he caught her looking, but she had an angry expression on her face. Damien thought, "What did I just do? Why is she looking at me like I've murdered her entire family?"
He glanced her way, and their eyes met for a fleeting moment before she turned away.
He stared at her side profile... "Her lips are so soft..." He couldn't stop thinking about kissing her. He felt a bulge in his pants and internally said, "Fuck, why are you so hard for her?"
Sarah was still furious after hearing that Damien was making things difficult for James, a man she considered a friend. She also blamed herself for it... But the memory of Damien's lips on hers kept interfering with her thoughts. Suddenly, her heart started racing... Damien's kiss took her by surprise... But she enjoyed it. She wanted it. She needed it. She cursed herself on the inside.
Damien looked at her. He then looked at his erection, then back at Sarah... "Dammit woman, what are you doing to me?" he said it out loud without even noticing...
Sarah quickly looked his way, shocked by his words, and then her eyes landed on it—his groin... She opened her mouth, then gasped, and their eyes met again. He had that dark look in his eyes, the same look he had that morning when he claimed her over and over. Her cheeks blushed, and she quickly turned her head away.
"Is he hard?" she felt a strange pulsation in her own body. It was craving him. She wanted him to fill her up... She felt embarrassed at the thought.
Damien noticed her fidgeting with her fingers, deep in thought, those cheeks red. What is she thinking?
He saw her body tense, and her breathing became rapid. She wanted him too... He was rock solid... He bit his lip, staring at her... She looked particularly beautiful today. Those rosy cheeks, those beautiful lips—he imagined some wild things...
Then the car stopped, and Johnny said, "We arrived, boss. Miss Walker."
That woke Damien up from his fantasy. Sarah quickly opened the door and ran to the house like something's chasing her.
