A powerful trainer arrived to face a challenge. Their aim was to understand the essence of Pokémon, the difference between humans and trainers, and the relationship between trainers and Pokémon.
After careful consideration, she decided to adjust her approach to this world. But unexpectedly, Giovanni arrived sooner than anticipated. Before leaving, she had specifically hacked into Team Rocket's intel system to confirm this was their blind spot. Since he was here, she wouldn't hold back! A cold gleam passed through Mewtwo's eyes.
But what happened next left her stunned.
Suddenly, a barrage of sweets appeared over the sea, raining down on Giovanni, forming a barrier. Giovanni was caught off guard, even accidentally consuming a few bites. Amusingly, he thought this was Mewtwo's doing.
As if! Mewtwo wouldn't engage in such childish antics, right?
Watching Giovanni's flustered state, Mewtwo felt a strange sense of satisfaction, feeling utterly refreshed.
An idea struck her as she recalled a souvenir she and the cloned Pokémon left somewhere recently.
If you want to pin this on me, I'll give you a grand gift. Mewtwo's eyes shone with a bright blue light.
In the blink of an eye, countless yellow light spots appeared above the Team Rocket base.
"All units, stand by!" Giovanni ordered again.
The officers swiftly took action, holding specially designed metal cubes.
Lance suddenly pointed to the sky, shouting, "What's that?"
Giovanni sneered, "Does Mewtwo think we're children to be toyed with?"
"Everyone, put on your protective suits," Lance ordered immediately.
Athena joked, "I do love sweets. Is Mewtwo trying to feed us?"
The group laughed in unison, knowing she was giving Giovanni a way out. But everyone knew Athena's infatuation with Giovanni remained unchanged.
"Wait!" the Snake Instructor suddenly frowned, "Something's off. Those aren't food."
"Huh?" Everyone looked up, quickly recognizing the incoming objects.
"Mewtwo just left, and now this prank!" Apollo grumbled, immediately commanding his Pokémon to dive into the sea for shelter.
Others followed suit, even Giovanni took his Pokémon underwater. In an instant, the once-imposing Team Rocket members vanished beneath the waves.
Mewtwo, sensing this scene, couldn't help but chuckle, "Giovanni is just so-so."
Meanwhile, Carl was being pestered by Mew to eat cake. Though he hadn't eaten much, he pretended to be full, jokingly complaining to Ethan Cross, "Why does Havenport have so many dessert shops? As a big city, it should focus more on the Pokémon industry."
"Mew~" Mew nudged another piece of cake his way.
"I really can't eat anymore!" Carl protested with a pained expression.
Mew shook its head. Rarely did it reveal itself to play with him, so how could it let him off so easily?
"Alright, alright, I'll eat." Carl reluctantly took a bite.
"Ha!" Professor Oak couldn't help laughing at Carl's aggrieved look. It was a rare sight, one he'll remember for a long time.
This laughter seemed to open the floodgates, as Cynthia and the others began to laugh one after another. Being forced to eat desserts by Mew was an amusing experience.
"Mew~ hehe~" Mew also laughed happily, suddenly using its psychic powers to distribute cake to everyone, telepathically saying, "Since everyone's so happy, let's eat together. Don't stop until it's finished."
Laughter was instantly stifled.
Only Carl found it amusing, "Serves you right!"
Burp~ On the rooftop of Havenport's Pokémon Center, Ethan Cross and the others lay back in their chairs, their bellies round and full, looking utterly defeated.
Everyone had eaten far too many sweets in one go, feeling they never wanted to touch cream again in their lives. Especially Professor Oak and the other elders, they consumed more sweets today than in the past several decades combined, now just the sight of cream made them nauseous.
They were amazed at how Carl managed to endure so long.
"How did you do it, Carl?" Professor Oak curiously patted Carl's stomach. Mew also leaned in, examining Carl with curious eyes.
To everyone's surprise, Carl had been eating long before they started. Adding it up, he consumed more than everyone combined, yet still managed to last until the end, which was truly puzzling.
"Thanks to you all!"
Carl noticed Mew's suspicious gaze, internally wishing to scold Professor Oak, but outwardly he maintained a casual demeanor, "Aura power requires a strong physique and mental strength. I have a special method to convert food into energy to strengthen my body."
He casually made up an explanation. Those who train in martial arts naturally have a good appetite.
"Ancient martial arts!" Bruno immediately got excited, "I know of a master, at sixty years old, he could still eat three bowls of rice, a chicken, three pounds of beef, and some wine. Carl, is this real skill?"
"Exactly, it's Master Rokan," Carl nodded slightly.
Hearing this, everyone present looked enlightened. Indeed, no further explanation was needed; everyone understood naturally.
"Rokan? Aura martial arts?" Bruno perked up, "Carl, do you think I'm too old to learn martial arts?"
Bruno's special ability came from an ancient relic's training method, although it enhanced his physique and allowed him to connect with Fighting-type Pokémon, his martial arts skills were still rudimentary.
Though known as the Fighting Master, he was more like a brute with raw strength. If he could learn a few moves from Carl, his strength would surely skyrocket. If he could grasp aura power, even better.
"Martial arts aren't taught casually," Carl replied with an air of mystery.
This only convinced Bruno further of Carl's prowess, prompting him to assure, "I understand the rules, I'll show you my sincerity."
Carl nodded without elaborating. This scene earned him newfound respect from everyone present, even sparking interest in martial arts from Cynthia and Lorelei.
Controlling one's figure without fear of weight gain, who wouldn't want such a skill? If Carl knew that his casual remark attracted so many followers, who knows how he'd react.
Unaware of this, he patted his stomach and asked Mew, "Still want more?" His taunting demeanor was practically inviting a challenge.
"Mew~"
Initially planning to leave, Mew was suddenly infuriated. This human dared to be so arrogant? Unforgivable!
"Mew~"
The little creature rolled its eyes, suddenly coming up with an idea. It flipped in the air, clapping its tiny hands.
In an instant, mist arose in the hall, quickly forming a scene. Ethan Cross and the others, despite their discomfort, watched with bated breath.
In the scene, Giovanni and Team Rocket members were climbing ashore from the sea, clearing seawater off themselves with the help of their Pokémon. Giovanni surveyed the surroundings before releasing a Poké Ball.
"Boom!"
A mighty Garchomp appeared on the ground.
