Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

# Chapter 3

Luo Sheng stared at the glowing text hovering in his vision, his mind racing with possibilities and questions.

The words "Infinite Growth System" pulsed with an ethereal light, seeming almost alive in their luminescence.

His hands trembled slightly as he thought, System? Can you hear me?

[Yes, Host. I am now fully integrated with your consciousness. You may communicate with me through thought.]

What... what exactly are you? What can you do?

[I am the Infinite Growth System. My primary function is to facilitate the Host's unlimited growth and development through the collection and integration of attributes and abilities from other living beings.]

Luo Sheng's breath caught. Attributes from other living beings? What does that mean?

[Explanation: When any living creature within your vicinity performs specific actions—training, cultivation, skill execution, combat—they release invisible ball of attributes into the surrounding environment. These balls contain fragments of their physical capabilities, experiences, and techniques. Normally, these balls dissipate harmlessly into the air, undetectable and unusable by anyone.]

[However, with my assistance, you can now perceive and collect these attribute particles. Once collected, they will be integrated directly into your body, enhancing your own capabilities without requiring you to undergo the same training or experience.]

Luo Sheng's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. His heart pounded so hard he could hear it in his ears. You mean... I can get other people's training results just by being near them?

[Correct. When a martial artist trains their strength, they drop strength attribute particles. When they practice their speed, they drop speed attribute particles. When they execute techniques, they drop skill experience. When they comprehend laws or cultivation methods, they drop comprehension fragments.]

The implications crashed over Luo Sheng like a tidal wave. This... this was beyond anything he'd imagined. This wasn't just a cheat ability—this was potentially the most powerful growth mechanism possible in a world governed by martial strength.

So I can grow stronger just by being near people who are training? he thought, barely able to contain his excitement. The more talented or powerful they are, the more attributes they drop?

[Precisely. Higher-level cultivators and more talented individuals naturally release more potent attributes. Training in locations with many practitioners will yield optimal results.]

Luo Sheng's mind immediately went to the Extreme Martial Club. Thousands of trainees trained there every day. Senior Students, even some Quasi-Warriors. If he positioned himself strategically in the training halls...

His expression shifted from shock to pure, unbridled excitement. His hands clenched into fists, and a fierce determination blazed in his eyes.

This changes everything, he thought, his entire worldview shifting in an instant. I thought I was destined to be mediocre, to watch my brother soar while I can only follow behind with his help. But now...

He took a deep, steadying breath, forcing himself to calm down and think rationally despite the euphoria threatening to overwhelm him.

System, are there any limitations? Cooldowns? Restrictions on what I can collect?

[Current limitations:

1. You must be within approximately 10 meters of the source to collect attribute particles.

2. Attribute remain collectible for approximately 60 seconds after being released before dissipating.

3. The quality and quantity of attributes depend on the source's cultivation level and the intensity of their activity.

4. Storage space is currently limited but will expand with your cultivation advancement.]

Luo Sheng nodded slowly, absorbing this information. The 10-meter range was actually quite generous—in a crowded training hall, he could potentially be within range of dozens of people simultaneously.

[The attribute are completely invisible and intangible to everyone except you. Your collection activities will appear entirely normal to outside observers.]

A slow smile spread across Luo Sheng's face. This was perfect. Absolutely perfect. He could train alongside others, collect their dropped attributes, and no one would be the wiser. He wouldn't be stealing anything—these particles dissipated naturally anyway. He was simply utilizing a resource that would otherwise go to waste.

This is my golden finger, he thought, a mixture of gratitude and fierce determination swelling in his chest. After many years of waiting, of accepting mediocrity, of watching my brother's meteoric rise while I crawled forward—finally, I have a path to true strength.

His earlier philosophy of relying on his brother's rise suddenly seemed small now. Why settle for riding someone else's coattails when he could forge his own path to power? With this system, he could potentially match or even surpass the so-called geniuses of this world.

The Extreme Martial Club, he thought, his mind already forming plans. I need to spend as much time there as possible. Every training session is an opportunity. Every martial artist practicing their forms is a source of growth.

He glanced at the clock on his computer. It was getting late, but the evening training sessions at the club would be in full swing. The dedicated trainees—the ones serious about their cultivation—would all be there, pushing themselves to their limits.

I need to go. I need to test this immediately.

But first, he needed to maintain appearances. He shut down his trading software and computer.

---

On the other side of the house, Luo Feng and Luo Hua continued their respective studies. Luo Feng had his nose buried in history and mathematics textbooks, preparing for the upcoming college entrance examination. Luo Hua pored over financial theory books, occasionally making notes.

The evening wore on peacefully until Luo Feng glanced up at the clock on the living room wall. Seeing that it was nearly six in the evening, he stood up and stretched.

"Dad, Mom," he called toward the kitchen where his parents were preparing tea. "It's getting late. I need to head out for my tutoring session."

Gong Xinlan emerged from the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron. "Alright, be careful on the way. Don't stay out too late."

"I won't, Mom." Luo Feng gathered his materials and stuffed them into his backpack.

Just as Luo Feng was about to leave, Luo Sheng emerged from his room upstairs, already changed into his training clothes—comfortable athletic wear that allowed for free movement. He jogged down the stairs and called out to his brother.

"Xiao Feng, I won't wait for you later. I'm heading straight to the Extreme Martial Club for training!"

Luo Feng looked up at him and nodded. "Got it, Big Brother. Train hard. I'll try to make it there after I finish tutoring, but it'll probably be late."

"No worries. Focus on your tutoring job. I'll see you later tonight."

The two brothers left the house together, splitting up at the first intersection—Luo Sheng making his way toward the massive complex that housed the Extreme Martial Club.

---

Extreme Martial Club - Jiangnan Base City Branch

The Extreme Martial Club stood as a monument to human perseverance and martial excellence. It was recognized as the premier martial arts training institution on whole Earth, founded by Hong himself—the world's strongest individual, since the Great Nirvana.

Branches of the Extreme Martial Club existed all over the globe, but the Jiangnan Base City branch was one of the largest and most prestigious. Countless warriors had been trained within these walls, and even more aspired to earn membership.

Luo Sheng arrived at the main entrance as the sun began its descent toward the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange and gold. He pulled out his trainee ID card from his pocket—a metallic badge with his photo, rank, and membership number—and swiped it through the security scanner.

The small door in the reinforced wall slid open with a soft hiss, and Luo Sheng stepped through into a world dedicated entirely to the pursuit of martial excellence.

The Extreme Martial Club complex was enormous, covering a vast area that rivaled some pre-Great Nirvana universities in size. Under the afterglow of the setting sun, the entire complex seemed to glow with an almost sacred light, its grounds meticulously maintained and its buildings standing like monuments to human determination and strength.

Inside the complex stood three colossal silver-white buildings, each shaped like massive spacecraft from some distant future. Their curved, aerodynamic forms gleamed in the fading light, giving them an otherworldly appearance that never failed to inspire awe in those who beheld them.

These three buildings were the teaching blocks for Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced Trainees, respectively. Each building housed specialized training facilities, lecture halls, combat arenas, and cultivation chambers designed specifically for their corresponding skill levels.

As Luo Sheng walked along the wide pathway within the club grounds, he passed numerous other trainees heading to various facilities. Some wore the white uniforms of Elementary Trainees, others the gray of Intermediate rank. A rare few wore the distinctive black uniforms that marked them as Advanced Trainees—individuals who had reached at the Quasi-Warrior level.

The entire Extreme Martial Club boasted somewhere between thirty to forty thousand active trainees across all ranks. It was a staggering number that spoke to both the club's prestige and humanity's desperate need for warriors to defend against the monsters that lurked beyond the city walls.

Of those thirty to forty thousand trainees, only several hundred held Senior Trainee rank—individuals who had proven exceptional talent and dedication. Most were in their twenties, having trained for years to reach that level. Luo Feng, at sixteen, was an anomaly among that group.

Luo Sheng, as a Junior Trainee, could only access the Elementary Trainee Teaching Building. The Intermediate and Advanced buildings were restricted areas, requiring higher clearance levels that he hadn't yet earned. But that was fine. For his purposes tonight, the Elementary building would be more than sufficient.

He approached the towering silver-white structure, its entrance illuminated by bright lights as evening settled over the city. The doors slid open automatically as he approached, and he stepped inside.

The first floor of the Elementary Trainee Teaching Building opened into a vast training hall that could easily accommodate several thousand people. The space was segmented into different zones—strength training areas with weights and resistance equipment, speed training zones with running tracks and agility courses, practice areas with padded floors and training dummies, and open sparring rings where trainees could test their skills against one another.

Even at this evening hour, the hall was packed with dedicated trainees. The air thrummed with the sounds of exertion—grunts of effort, the impact of fists against training bags, the rhythmic pounding of feet on running tracks, and the occasional clash of weapons in the sparring rings.

But Luo Sheng saw something that no one else could see.

His eyes widened in wonder and excitement as his new system-enhanced vision revealed the truth of what was happening in this space.

Everywhere—literally everywhere—small orbs of rainbow-colored light were falling from the training martial artists randomly. someone threw a punch, a small orb dropped to the floor. someone completed a sprint, another orb appeared. someone lifted a weight, more orbs manifested and drifted lazily downward before settling on the ground.

The entire floor of the training hall was glowing with these Pearl like attribute orbs, some dispersed some are remaining among them, each one representing someone's effort and training.

And no one else could see them. Everyone walked through them, over them, unknowingly releasing these orbs resources that simply dissipated unused.

Luo Sheng's heart raced with excitement and anticipation. This was it. This was his opportunity. His path to power had literally been laid out before him like a treasure trove waiting to be claimed.

He took a deep breath to steady himself and began walking toward the nearest concentration of attribute orbs. As he approached within a few meters, the orbs suddenly flew toward him as if magnetized, merging into his body in streams of colorful light.

The sensation was indescribable. It wasn't painful, but it was intense—a rush of energy and power flooding into his muscles, bones, and cells. He could feel his body changing, adapting, growing stronger with each absorption.

Text flashed before his eyes in rapid succession:

[Strength +22 kg]

[Strength +20 kg]

[Speed +2 m/s]

[Speed +1 m/s]

[Defense +24 kg]

[Defense +23 kg]

[Strength +18 kg]

[Speed +2 m/s]

The notifications came so fast he could barely keep track of them all. His muscles swelled slightly, becoming denser and more powerful. His reflexes sharpened. His entire body felt lighter, more responsive, as if invisible chains that had been holding him back were being cut away one by one.

This is incredible, he thought, barely able to contain his euphoria. I can actually feel myself getting stronger in real-time!

He felt like a bird that had spent its entire life with clipped wings suddenly discovering it could fly. The sensation of his body improving so rapidly was intoxicating, addictive. He wanted more. He needed more.

Trying to maintain a casual appearance so as not to draw attention, Luo Sheng began moving around the vast training hall, walking past different training zones and weaving between groups of practicing trainees. Each time he entered a new area, more attribute orbs flew toward him, merging with his body and granting him their stored power.

He spent over an less than half hour doing this. Gradually, he noticed that the orbs were becoming less numerous.

Eventually, the flood of notifications slowed to a trickle, and Luo Sheng decided it was time to check his progress.

System, open personal attribute panel.

[Acknowledged.]

A translucent light panel materialized before his eyes, displaying information in clearly organized rows. To test whether others could see it, Luo Sheng walked over to a wall with a large mirror. Looking at his reflection, he confirmed that the panel was completely invisible—it existed only in his enhanced perception.

He focused on the information displayed:

---

[Personal Attribute Panel]

Name: Luo Sheng

Rank: Apprentice Level (Intermediate Student)

Strength: 450 kg

Speed: 20 m/s

Defense: 448 kg

Cultivation Method: None

Skills: None

Storage: Empty

---

Luo Sheng stared at the panel, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

When he'd entered the training hall barely over an hour ago, his strength had been 288 kilograms. Now it was 450 kilograms. He'd gained 162 kilograms of strength just by walking around and collecting discarded attribute particles.

His speed had increased from 9 meters per second to 20 meters per second—more than doubling in a single session.

His defense had similarly skyrocketed from a estimated 280 kilograms to 448 kilograms.

In less than hour—he had jumped from being a high-tier Junior Student to a solid Intermediate Student. Progress that would normally take months or even years of dedicated training had been achieved in an evening stroll through a training hall.

This is insane, he thought, his hands trembling with excitement. This is absolutely insane.

The possibilities stretched before him like an infinite horizon. With this system, the cultivation levels that seemed like insurmountable barriers to normal people became mere stepping stones.

Junior Student, Intermediate Student, Senior Student, Quasi-Warrior, Warrior, Warlord, God of War, even beyond—all of them were within reach now.

He looked around the training hall with new eyes. What had once seemed like a temple of effort and struggle now appeared as a garden of opportunity, each training martial artist a tree bearing fruit that only he could harvest.

A slow, satisfied smile spread across his face.

This Junior Trainee building is already barely useful to me,At this rate, I'll need to find ways to access the Intermediate and Advanced training areas soon. The higher the level of the trainees, the more valuable the attributes they drop.

He allowed himself one moment of pure, unbridled joy—the realization that his second chance at life had just been elevated beyond his wildest dreams.
