Chapter 117: Dearest Sister Ya Fei, I Missed You So Much

Tap tap tap!

Inside the auction house of the Mittel Clan's headquarters, the moment Xiao Yuan saw a familiar figure, he immediately knew who it was.

His gaze shifted away from Hai Bodong without hesitation.

A crowd had gathered around the graceful figure, obscuring most of her face.

So, Xiao Yuan started admiring her figure instead: the high, proud chest, the curvaceous hips, those long snowy legs, and the crisp clicking of her high heels on the marble—yes, even her walking rhythm was familiar.

Even without seeing her face, Xiao Yuan was certain—it was definitely Ya Fei!

Hai Bodong, noticing Xiao Yuan lose focus mid-sentence, furrowed his brows slightly. He followed the young man's gaze and spotted Ya Fei as well. However, he remained calm—after all, at the level of a Dou Huang, he'd seen more than enough beautiful women.

Still, from Xiao Yuan's sparkling eyes, he could tell something was up.

"That's the girl you mentioned? Ya Fei?"

"Yup. I could recognize her just from her footsteps."

Xiao Yuan smiled, joy radiating from his face.

It had really been too long since he last saw her.

As the sound of her steps grew louder, the crowd surrounding the graceful figure parted slightly, and her appearance was revealed.

She wore a striking red fitted robe, exquisitely tailored to accentuate her flawless curves. A slit up the dress exposed her dazzling white thigh—drawing every eye. The red heels further elongated her shapely legs, exuding regal confidence.

Her seductive smile, charming makeup, and already stunning face combined into a breathtaking sight. Just one glance could uplift a person's entire day.

Being beautiful, she naturally drew attention. From the moment she descended the stairs, people greeted her nonstop. While some were clearly lustful, many showed genuine respect.

Clearly, Ya Fei held a high status within the auction house headquarters.

Xiao Yuan nodded in approval. Elder Tengshan really did right by her.

Ya Fei, meanwhile, handled the greetings with practiced grace—just like back in Wu Tan City. Her effortless manner, even in rejections, left no room for offense. Her gentle, radiant smile made even Xiao Yuan's lips curve upward.

As if sensing something, Ya Fei glanced around the hall—and her gaze locked on Xiao Yuan.

Those flirtatious, captivating eyes froze in disbelief. She stared at the familiar white-robed, handsome youth with wide eyes.

As for the distinguished elder beside him, she barely noticed him at all.

Naturally, as a focus of attention in the hall, Ya Fei's sudden change of expression drew everyone's eyes to Xiao Yuan.

Even in a capital filled with elites, the sight of Xiao Yuan caused a collective moment of awe.

Time had refined his once-youthful face into one of maturity and elegance. His handsome features had become even more striking, and his flowing white robe added a transcendent aura. People began whispering, glancing back and forth between him and Ya Fei.

Some thoughts weren't entirely clean—and if Xiao Yuan knew what was running through their minds, he'd probably gift them a one-way ticket via Mystic Ice Dragon Flight.

As Ya Fei continued to stare in surprise, Xiao Yuan grinned and waved at her, completely ignoring the onlookers.

With his current strength, no one here could threaten him. And if things went south, Elder Hai could step in. On Mittel Clan turf, Xiao Yuan was untouchable. He had every reason to be bold.

Seeing his warm, waving smile, Ya Fei snapped out of her daze and broke into a radiant smile of her own—one no one else had ever seen. Her long legs moved swiftly toward him.

"Ya Fei-jie, long time no see."

Xiao Yuan didn't wait—he walked up with a beaming face and, in front of everyone, pulled Ya Fei into a tight embrace.

"Yes… it's been too long. I didn't expect you this early."

She hadn't expected him to be so bold—openly declaring ownership like this. Blushing, she smiled softly.

Feeling her soft body, her racing heartbeat, and inhaling her familiar scent, Xiao Yuan gently tightened his arms around her, conveying his longing without making her uncomfortable.

"I missed you so much, Ya Fei-jie," he whispered near her ear.

The heat of his breath made her blush deepen. Yet beneath her fluster, a joyful warmth bloomed. She wrapped her arms around his now broader back.

The crowd around them gawked in stunned silence.

Wait, what?

That was Ya Fei?!

And who was this pretty boy?

Countless thoughts ran wild—until Ya Fei's soft, sweet voice confirmed everything:

"I missed you too…"

Watching Ya Fei, usually so composed, act like a shy girl in Xiao Yuan's arms broke many hearts on the spot.

After a while, an elderly voice interrupted the moment:

"Ahem… could you two go somewhere private to hug?"

Only then did Ya Fei remember the elder with Xiao Yuan. She gently wriggled free, and they parted.

"Elder Hai, we still have things to do."

Xiao Yuan smiled.

"Oh? You remember that?" Hai Bodong grumbled, clearly unimpressed.

Women… always distracting from cultivation.

"Later, we'll catch up properly. For now, I need some herbs. Ya Fei-jie, I'm counting on you."

Xiao Yuan grinned.

"Alright. Come with me."

Sweeping a glance at Hai Bodong, Ya Fei realized this wasn't the place to chat. Smiling, she turned and led the way, her hips swaying gracefully.

"You're running this auction house now?" Xiao Yuan asked.

"Not entirely. The actual authority lies with the old men of the clan. It's their lifeblood—they'd never hand it over fully. Even Elder Tengshan couldn't appoint me directly. Right now, I'm just the acting overseer."

She smiled wryly. The Mittel clan had strict rules. Many elders were overly attached to their tiny bits of power.

Still, for someone her age, being acting elder was impressive. With a few achievements, she'd soon become a full elder.

Glancing at Xiao Yuan, she added, "I don't run the place entirely, but I do have some authority. No matter what you or this elder need, I'll do my best."

"That's why I came straight to you after landing," Xiao Yuan chuckled, glancing at Hai Bodong—who hadn't revealed his identity.

"Mhm."

Ya Fei nodded and waved off the guards trying to approach.

"They are honored guests of the clan. I'll take full responsibility."

At her words, the guards stepped aside respectfully, pretending nothing had happened.

But just as the trio reached the stairs, loud footsteps echoed from above. Ya Fei frowned slightly.

Around the bend, a few figures appeared—led by a man close in age to Ya Fei. His pale face and lifeless eyes betrayed years of indulgence.

Despite his weak appearance, he had just reached the Dou Zhe level.

From his elevated position, he ogled Ya Fei's figure without shame, breathing heavily.

Ya Fei's expression turned cold. Her charming eyes now held undisguised disgust.

Before the man could speak, Xiao Yuan stepped forward. He flicked a Purple Gold Card from his hand—it flashed past the man's neck, slicing a thin line, then embedded itself in the wall.

"Nobodies like you dare block my path? Say one more word, and I'll make sure you never speak again."

His voice was icy.

"You dare threaten me?"

The man shivered, staring at the embedded card.

"Who are you? A Mittel elder? Your family got someone in the clan? Say it! Even if Elder Tengshan were here, I'd still slap you!"

Xiao Yuan vanished—and reappeared before him.

Smack! Smack!

Two loud slaps sent the man flying down the stairs.

"Your strength really is hard to read these days."

Ya Fei muttered in awe. She hadn't even seen Xiao Yuan move.

"Not that strong. Elder Hai's the real expert. If I hadn't acted, he might've killed the guy."

Xiao Yuan smiled.

"Hmph. If this girl weren't part of the Mittel clan, you'd probably have torn the place down. Then I'd have to decide whether or not to stop you."

Hai Bodong grinned.

"You're exaggerating. I'm just a kid—no such power."

"You better be," Hai Bodong replied, half-joking. Having regained his strength, he was starting to resemble a sharp old gentleman.

Just then, a shrill voice ruined the mood:

"You useless trash! Kill them all!"

The three froze.

Some people just didn't know when to quit.

Even after being publicly humiliated, the man still screamed in fury.

The guards exchanged nervous glances.

Us?

They had seen how fast Xiao Yuan was—no way were they touching him. And Ya Fei was still a (temporary) elder.

"Cowards!"

The man roared again.

"So noisy."

Xiao Yuan sighed. He flicked his wrist—and a wave of black ice Dou Qi encased the man in a block of jet-black ice.

Ya Fei gasped.

Then a furious voice rang out:

"You brat! You learned that new Dou Technique just by glancing at it?!"
