Chapter 7 - Confession?! Between Gods?!

"W-wha...?"

Aniyah stuttered out in confusion, her mind going blank at the sudden confession after their fight.

"My bad, too sudden right?. Allow me to start over. My name is Iruna Buro, I am the coming Omega. I have loved you since we first met. I didn't say anything because we were so far apart...but now, I can finally stand beside you. If everything is to end by my own hands, i'll make sure you and everything you hold dear are safe."

Iruna exclaimed as he stood upright, holding out his hand in an offer to help Aniyah up. Though shock ran through his core when she slapped his hand away from her, a small sigh escaping his lips as well.

"I'll give you time to process. I'm not asking for my feelings to be recoperiated, nor am I asking for an asnwer. I simply just wanted you to know how I felt now that I can be the man you wanted."

Iruna continued as he slipped his hands into his pocket and turned to walk away, his footsteps slosly departing from her ears.

"Wait!. Why?. Why me?"

Aniyah yelled out in confusion, halting Iruna from leaving her alone temporarily. Though this made Iruna geniuenly smile, his head turning back just a bit to face his first love.

"Do I need a reason?. Well, I guess it's true that love holds no bounds.

Iruna proclaimed before turning away and vanishing as if he was a phantom. Aniyah sat starstrucked, staring at the empty space that Iruna previously occupied. A dazed expression on her delicate face, confused on what she should do now.

"How could he just say something like that..."

Aniyah exclaimed in a hushed tone which was barely above a whisper. Her cheeks were flushed a crimson hue and her body stirred from the past thoughts that crept up on her.

Some time ago...

"So Niyah!, what do you think about Iruna? I'm curious on how a non awakened god entered an academy like this"

A young girl exclaimed in a hyperactive tone, clearly showing her friend the energetic nature of herself. Aniyah on the other hand glanced out the windoe to ponder on the question. Though she was just a bit curious about a human entering an academy to train god candidates, she found herself intrigued on his intellect.

Despite lacking in supernatural power, Iruna was the smartest ranking student in the academy. His perfect scores every test with no fail kept him on par with the god candidates. This led her to partially believe that it was because of his intellect that he managed to enroll.

"I can't say particularly. Though his laziness does piss me off"

Aniyah exclaimed as a few thoughts crossed her mind. Although she wouldn't admit it aloud, Iruna was quite handsome in her opinion. His demeanor radiated a calming warmth but also stood firm as if he was an immovable object. His sharp crimson eyes that striped away the very layers of biological makeup, leaving the soul bear to his very eyes. They were cold, calculating and mischievous.

Aniyah was suddenly jolted out of her daydream when the person in question stepped through the classroom door. His fitted uniform revealed that he was hiding a nicely shaped physique underneath which did not go unnoticed by anyone. The sudden stares made Iruna glanced around the classroom in curiosity, chuckling sheepishly in confusion.

"Uh. Why is everyone staring at me?. Am I being set up right now?"

Iruna asked in a tone of seriousness and a look of geniune confusion. This statement made everyone, including Aniyah, laugh at the confusion on Iruna face.

"Is this bullying?"

Iruna asked with a slight tilt of his head, slightly shrugging his shoulders and walking towards his desk that was located in the back of the classroom. An expression of indifference glued to his face as he made his way past Aniyah amd her friend group. Then, the two exchanged a quick glance.

'Forgive me for being so weak. Just a bit longer and I'll be the person who can save you one day'

Iruna proclaimed in his mind as he quickly looked forward again, walking to his seat and smoothly sitting down. Though he felt awkward from the heavy gazes on him.

'w-what is this feeling?'

Aniyah asked herself within the confinement of her own mind, her cheeks gaining a subtle crimson hue after making eye contact with the target of their conversation. Then she subtly shook her head to regain focus, standing up and walking over to Iruna.

"My names Aniyah, nice to meet you"

Now...

"Wow. I can't believe i really just did that. Uggghhh, im so stupid!. I got caught up in the moment. Oh well."

Iruna proclaimed aloud to himself, the echoing sounds of his footsteps filling the night air. His hands were slipped into his pockets and a slightly slouched posture, walking down the hardened pavement. He was so caught up with the reniuon between them that he shouted out something he intended to tell her waaay later.

"Eh, too late to reflect now. What's done is done. Anyways, I need to hurry and get stronger. I've been only surviving off luck all this time."

Iruna exclaimed in a tone of frustration, putting the reflective thoughts of his actions earlier to the back of his mind. As of now, he needed to become stronger for the day he fought against the anti-god.

"I know this so-called alpha system user is strong beyond measure, so this is a game of chess. It most likely knows if I'm close to it or not, so it most likely knows about my situation. Hmm, what would chaos itself do?"

Iruna exclaimed aloud to himself as he leaned his back against a wall of bricks, surrounded by the shadows of the apartment buildings set just enough apart to create a wide gap. An alleyway.

Then an idea struck like lightning in his mind, a smirk etching onto his face and as he pushed himself against the wall to stand up and leave the alleyway, he was intercepted by a male that adorned white hair and a female that adorned pink hair tied in a looping knot resembling the infinity symbol.

Iruna stood in shock as his crimson eyes met the vibrant pink eyes of the girl's, his mouth slightly agape in awe. Though, it was not just her beauty but her spiritual aura. It was potent, dense, and most importantly it was vast. This woman had to be none other than...

"Hi!, my name is Kiya. Most people refer to me as the king of Infinity"

The woman now named Kiya exclaimed with a wide smile on her face, her eyes softening as she stared at Iruna's shocked expression. Whether they wanted to believe it or not, she was literally infinity. A concept so mind numbing that no one dared approach. Even the brightest of minds.

"w-what a coincidence, I was just thinking of dissecting the true nature of infinity."

Iruna slightly stammered out as he instinctively took a step back.

[Warning the King Of Infinity has took an interest in you.] [Run]
