Chapter 167: Encounter, The Despicable Tang San

On the other side, Shui Bing'er and the others had already found a hotel and checked into a room. The three of them decided to go out for a late-night snack and then return to rest.

They arrived at a restaurant, where Xue Di and Zhu Zhuqing sat down to order, while Shui Bing'er went out by herself to buy some street food and bring it back.

Meanwhile, Tang San was nearby.

Ever since Tang Hao and Yu Xiaogang were killed by Ye Wen in the Pope's Hall, Tang San had fallen into a state of extreme despair, spending his days drowning his sorrows in alcohol.

Drunk, Tang San stumbled out of a tavern and happened to run into Shui Bing'er, who had come out alone to buy some snacks.

Half-drunk, Tang San immediately sobered up a bit and his expression changed. "Shui Bing'er?"

"Why is she here?" Tang San muttered to himself.

Ever since Ye Wen and his group of soul beasts revealed their identities, they had gained great attention across the continent. Many people knew that Ye Wen's group had spent some years at the Tiandou Academy before leaving.

However, since they had only stayed there for a few years, the Empire and the Spirit Hall didn't dig too deeply into it and didn't believe that Ye Wen's group had deep ties with Tiandou Academy.

But Tang San, who had always been watching Ye Wen, knew very well!

The relationship between Ye Wen and Shui Bing'er was definitely not simple. During the Soul Master Tournament, he had sensed a special connection between the two!

Tang San's face darkened, and his mind raced as a sinister smile slowly crept up at the corner of his mouth. "Heh, Ye Wen, I can't hurt you, and I don't have the power to take revenge for my father and teacher. But the people around you—this Shui Bing'er— I do have the power to deal with!"

"Shui Bing'er, if you have to blame someone, blame yourself for being so close to Ye Wen."

A murderous intent now filled Tang San's eyes.

Shui Bing'er had a death sentence hanging over her head!

He immediately began channeling his soul power, forcing some of the alcohol out of his system, making himself more sober, then followed Shui Bing'er.

In the early hours of the morning, with the streets less crowded, and this area not being the busiest, there were only a few people walking about.

Tang San followed Shui Bing'er, and at that moment, he saw a young girl of around twenty years walking toward Shui Bing'er. An idea crossed his mind.

Ghost Shadow Mysterious Steps!

With incredible speed, Tang San rushed toward the girl and grabbed her by the neck, controlling her.

"Ahh~!" The girl screamed in panic, drawing Shui Bing'er's attention. She turned around and saw Tang San holding the innocent girl hostage.

"Tang San, is that you?" Shui Bing'er frowned. "What are you doing? Let her go!"

"Tang San, come with me, and I won't harm her," Tang San sneered.

Having already lost the woman he loved, his father, and his teacher, Tang San's mentality had darkened. He was now willing to use any means to achieve his goals, even the life of an innocent girl.

He knew very well that Shui Bing'er was a kind-hearted person, and she wouldn't just stand by and watch someone die.

"Tang San, I never thought you would be so despicable, using such methods to threaten me. What do you want?" Shui Bing'er frowned deeply.

She had already learned about the conflict between Ye Wen and Tang San, and being the smart person she was, she had guessed that Tang San's goal was to target her.

Looking at the situation, it didn't seem like a well-planned scheme but more like an impromptu decision.

"Come with me!!" Tang San's face grew more ferocious, and he tightened his grip.

"Fine, I'll go with you," Shui Bing'er coldly replied.

Just like that, Tang San, with the innocent girl in tow, led her to a secluded area. He wasn't truly evil and, after reaching his goal, he let the girl go.

Watching the girl leave safely, Shui Bing'er coldly looked at Tang San. "Speak, why did you bring me here?"

"You and that Ye Wen... What kind of relationship do you two have?" Tang San asked.

"And if we do?" Shui Bing'er replied.

"Ye Wen took my Xiao Wu, killed my father, and my teacher. Today, I'm going to kill you and make him feel the taste of loss!" Tang San snarled.

"Just by you? Tang San, you can't do it." Shui Bing'er sneered, knowing that she had grown stronger since their last encounter.

Today, she would teach Tang San a lesson.

"Heh." Tang San sneered and immediately launched an attack. "Blue Silver Bind!"

Now, Tang San was only at level 43, while Shui Bing'er had reached level 52! There was a whole realm of difference between them!

"Extreme Ice Phoenix!" Shui Bing'er released her martial spirit, and five rings—yellow, purple, and black—floated beneath her feet.

"What?! You've already reached the Soul King realm, and your martial spirit..." Tang San's face darkened. Shui Bing'er's aura was now much stronger than when they had fought in the Soul Master Tournament.

No wonder she dared to confront him now, her strength had increased immensely.

"Disperse!"

The power of her semi-divine martial spirit allowed Shui Bing'er to easily disperse the incoming Blue Silver Grass with a simple wave.

"First Soul Skill, Ice Seal!"

"Hidden Phantom Steps!"

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Tang San dodged one after another, but Shui Bing'er's instant Ice Seal, combined with the Mystic Jade Hand, struck with devastating force.

Shui Bing'er kicked out!

Bang!

She sent Tang San flying with one kick, immediately using Ice Seal again!

Bang! Boom!

"Ahh~!" Tang San cried out in pain as he was hit in the abdomen and slammed into the ground.

"Dammit! This woman, she's become so much stronger in such a short time, while my own abilities have withered due to my months of despair!" Tang San's face was grim.

"Third Soul Skill, Spider Web Bind!"

Shui Bing'er skillfully dodged, but Tang San's attack wasn't over. A large number of hidden weapons were thrown toward her.

"Second Soul Skill, Ice Ring Armor!"

Ding ding ding!

All the hidden weapons struck the Ice Armor that appeared around Shui Bing'er. She avoided other attacks.

Tang San seized the opportunity and immediately unleashed his fourth soul skill: "Blue Silver Prison!"

Whoosh!

A vast amount of Blue Silver Grass erupted from the ground, trapping Shui Bing'er inside.

"Shui Bing'er, die!"

Tang San waved his hands again, throwing more hidden weapons. Despite this, Shui Bing'er remained calm. An Ice Tornado rose!

"Third Soul Skill, Resist Ice Ring!"

She immediately neutralized the prison and all the attacks.

"Fourth Soul Skill, Ice Spikes!"

A storm of ice spikes descended from the sky, crashing down like a violent downpour.

Pshhh! Pshhh! Pshhh!

"Ahh~!"

Tang San screamed in pain, his body riddled with wounds from the ice spikes.

Shui Bing'er quickly approached, and with one slap, she struck Tang San's face with immense force!

Slap!

Tang San was sent flying with a resounding slap.
