Chapter 169: Qian Renxue's True Appearance
"Then, I want you to take out the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and give it to Tang San of Shrek Academy. Tell him, and guide him toward a place called Sea God Island. Say and do everything exactly the way I instruct you." Ye Wen spoke as he explained to Qian Renxue the specific method for guiding Tang San.
Qian Renxue listened, clearly confused. "I don't understand. Aren't you and Tang San supposed to be enemies? Not only are you not killing him, you're actually giving him such a treasure?"
"You don't need to understand the reason. Just do as I say," Ye Wen replied.
"The Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud is the national treasure of my Heaven Dou Empire. This treasure holds countless miraculous uses and advantages, far surpassing most soul tools."
"You want me to just hand it over to someone like Tang San, who brings no benefit to my Heaven Dou Empire? That doesn't make any sense, does it? What if I refuse?" Qian Renxue asked.
"Refuse?"
In an instant, Ye Wen's body flashed, and he was suddenly sitting beside Qian Renxue on her bed, his left hand gently holding her chin as he brought his face close to hers.
"You—!"
Qian Renxue's face instantly flushed red, panic stirring within her as her hands nervously clutched at the bedsheet.
"You refuse? Then tonight, I'll just take you by force. Are you scared?" Ye Wen smirked mischievously.
"You! Deep Sea Demon Whale King, I never expected you to be interested in men!" Qian Renxue's expression turned panicked.
"Men? I have no interest in men."
"Then why would you want to force me?"
Ye Wen chuckled and stopped pretending as he directly exposed her disguise. "Qian Renxue, you don't seriously think I can't tell that the current Xue Qinghe is actually you in disguise—the heir of Spirit Hall, Qian Renxue?"
"W-what? You…"
At that moment, when Ye Wen uttered the name "Qian Renxue," her heart trembled violently. She was utterly shocked, eyes wide in disbelief, unable to remain calm. Her panic was plain to see.
"Heh." Ye Wen chuckled and continued, "You've been infiltrating the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace since you were nine years old—over twenty years now. During that time, you killed the crown prince Xue Qinghe."
"Using one of your Seraphim spirit bone abilities, you disguised yourself as Xue Qinghe, then killed the exceptionally intelligent second prince Xue Luochuan. After that, you eliminated the third prince, who had outstanding soul master talent."
"You only spared the fourth prince, Xue Beng, because you believed he was a useless playboy and posed no threat to your control over the imperial throne, right?"
"How… how is this possible?! How could he know my identity and even be so familiar with the details?!"
Qian Renxue was overwhelmed with fear, unable to comprehend how someone could know this much. The feeling was terrifying and indescribably shocking.
Now, she was deeply afraid that Ye Wen would expose her identity. She didn't fear losing control over the throne—what terrified her was that twenty years of infiltration could go to waste, all her effort vanishing in vain.
"Don't panic. You keep infiltrating and seizing the throne—that has nothing to do with me. I won't expose you for no reason."
"As for the threat earlier, I was joking. As long as you do what I say, you'll be completely safe. No one will know that Xue Qinghe is actually Qian Renxue."
As Ye Wen spoke, he released her chin.
Whether or not Qian Renxue succeeded in taking control of the Heaven Dou Palace—or whether Spirit Hall could unify the continent—Ye Wen didn't care, because it didn't directly affect his interests.
Moreover, Tang San had been thoroughly suppressed by Ye Wen. Soon, the Clear Sky School would be wiped out by soul beasts. When Ye Wen finally killed Tang San, the two great empires would no longer be able to stop Spirit Hall's path to unifying the continent.
Unless Ye Wen himself interfered in human warfare, the rise of Spirit Hall was inevitable.
"I'll handle this matter for you," Qian Renxue said. Even though Ye Wen had claimed he wouldn't expose her, she knew he now held an irrefutable secret over her head.
"Alright, I have one last request," Ye Wen said, standing up.
"Go ahead."
"Qian Renxue, let me see your true appearance," Ye Wen said as he looked down at the woman on the bed.
"The real me... does what I look like even matter to you? Why do you want to see it?"
"Curiosity," Ye Wen answered.
Qian Renxue hesitated, then finally nodded. Golden light shimmered faintly behind her, and in the next second, two pairs of golden angel wings sprouted from her back. The four-winged angel wings wrapped around her body.
Moments later, the wings slowly unfolded, revealing an incomparably noble, stunning, and breathtaking woman before Ye Wen.
She appeared to be in her early twenties. Her skin was whiter than snow, her nose high and straight, and her slightly slender phoenix eyes gave her a noble yet powerful aura. Her beauty was extraordinary, and her body was flawlessly proportioned!
Though not as voluptuous as Zhu Zhuqing, she had everything a woman should have—elegant and alluring, incredibly captivating. Her long, golden legs and delicate feet looked smooth and fair, radiating an aura of divine grace and nobility. Her golden hair only added to that unmatched presence.
For a moment, Ye Wen was slightly dazed, his eyes fixated on Qian Renxue.
Qian Renxue blushed from being stared at so intently. Embarrassed, she quickly pulled a blanket over her body. "Have you stared enough!?"
Ye Wen came back to his senses and smiled. "No wonder you're the number one goddess in my heart among all of Douluo. You're even more stunning than I imagined."
After praising her, Ye Wen walked toward the door, but suddenly paused. "Oh, by the way, the fourth prince Xue Beng is not the useless playboy you think he is. He's actually deeply scheming and quite talented. His behavior is all an act."
"Well then, Qian Renxue. Until we meet again."
With that, Ye Wen disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving only his words echoing in Qian Renxue's ears.
Qian Renxue stretched out her long, jade-like legs, her smooth, delicate feet touching the ground. With a slight sway of her hips, she walked to the window and silently gazed into the distance.
"Ye Wen, Deep Sea Demon Whale King…"
She murmured his name, lost in thought.
But Qian Renxue could feel that in the future, there would be much more contact, perhaps even conflict or friction, between her and Ye Wen.
She narrowed her eyes slightly. "Xue Beng, huh…"
After leaving the imperial palace, Ye Wen went to find Bing'er, the Snow Empress, Zhuqing, and the others, then returned to the hotel with them.
Now that both tasks had been completed, all Ye Wen needed to do was wait for news. He planned to stay in Heaven Dou City for a few days.
The next morning, Qian Renxue followed Ye Wen's instructions and brought out the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.
