Cherreads

Chapter 120 - 120

In addition to diligently patrolling the residential building and protecting everyone's safety, there was one woman who had developed a very... particular personal hobby.

She liked clinging to Natasha and the other attractive women in the group.

Every. Single. Day.

This woman behaved like an absolutely shameless flirt, constantly inventing creative excuses to be physically close to Natasha, Jenna, and Grace.

At first, the three women understood it as just over-enthusiasm from someone grateful for the safety of the group. They accepted her touchy-feely behavior politely, trying to be accommodating.

But as the days passed, they gradually discovered something unsettling:

Erin was way too strange about it.

Whether intentionally or not, she always managed to drift physically closer during conversations, lingering with exaggerated affection that felt inappropriate. Too many "accidental" touches. Too much intense eye contact.

Eventually, the three women started actively avoiding her—sometimes subtly by changing rooms, sometimes very obviously by leaving when she entered.

But Erin didn't seem to care at all about their discomfort.

Her patience with pursuing pretty women seemed genuinely limitless... she actually appeared to enjoy the chase, like it was all a fun game to her.

Meanwhile, Officer Rachel had almost completely recovered from her earlier injuries.

Her legs were fully healed—though she still couldn't quite sprint at full speed yet, she could walk normally and fight effectively again if needed.

And the absolute moment she regained her mobility?

Her ingrained police sense of justice immediately kicked back in with full force.

Just yesterday, she'd rescued two college-aged girls who'd been cornered by some thugs and were literally moments away from being sexually assaulted in an abandoned building.

Unlike the last group Rachel had tried to help, these two young women were genuinely grateful, respectful, and clung to Rachel afterward with shining, admiring eyes.

After rescuing them from immediate danger, Rachel had even spent time teaching them basic self-defense techniques and survival strategies.

Now, during daylight hours, the two helped Rachel handle various chores and tasks. At night, they rotated watch shifts with her to guard against threats.

Both girls were youthful, energetic, and honestly above average in appearance—cute in that fresh college student way.

But neither of them met Elric's strict system adoption criteria for official retainers. Not even close to the threshold.

Still, they contributed useful labor to the group, so their presence had value.

"We're almost there," Elsa announced from the driver's seat, her voice carrying a hint of excitement.

"Officer Rachel and Lily's temporary office building is just ahead on the right."

The SUV continued smoothly through the quiet, debris-strewn street.

As they pulled up near the building, Elric didn't bother with the stairs. He simply used his spatial Exchange Position ability and teleported directly into the office room where Rachel, Lily, and those two rescued college girls were currently staying.

"Ugh!"

All four women jumped violently at his sudden appearance out of thin air.

Before either Rachel or Lily could say anything in greeting, the two college girls immediately grabbed their makeshift electric batons and took defensive stances.

"Officer Rachel! Someone just teleported in—he's definitely a superpowered individual!" one of them shouted nervously.

Elric smiled slightly at their reaction.

At least they've become properly vigilant. The apocalypse really does speed up people's survival instincts.

One of the girls—the slightly taller one—raised her chin stubbornly, trying to look brave despite obvious fear.

"What are you smirking about? Just so you know, our Sister Rachel is also a superpowered fighter, so if you try anything—"

Lily didn't even let the poor girl finish her warning.

She literally sprinted across the room like an excited puppy, leaping into Elric's arms and clinging to him tightly with both arms and legs wrapped around him like a koala.

"Elric, you're finally back! I missed you so much!"

Rachel followed at a more measured pace, her normally cool and stoic expression softening just slightly into a small smile—the faint, genuine kind she only ever showed to Elric.

"You're here," she said simply, but the warmth in her voice was unmistakable.

The two rescued college girls just blinked rapidly in complete confusion.

"Wait—HE'S the man Sister Lily and Sister Rachel were talking about??"

They'd heard some wild rumors yesterday about how Rachel and Lily supposedly shared the same man, which had seemed absolutely insane at the time.

They'd been stunned by the very idea... but even more curious about what kind of exceptional man could possibly be worth both women's complete loyalty.

Now that they actually saw Elric in person, they had to reluctantly admit—

He was genuinely handsome. Like, movie-star handsome.

But they still hadn't witnessed his actual abilities or power yet, so judgment remained reserved.

"Alright," Elric said calmly, completely ignoring the two college girls' stares and whispered conversation. "Let's get moving. We're heading back to the main building."

Rachel and Lily nodded immediately without question.

They trusted him entirely, without reservation.

Now that Rachel's legs were nearly completely healed and she could move independently again, she and the two rescued students couldn't keep living in this isolated office building indefinitely.

"Elric..." Rachel spoke up softly, looking directly at him with those serious cop eyes. "Do you want to bring these two along with us to your place?"

She'd already fully accepted her role as one of his women. From this point forward, she would defer to Elric's decisions on group matters.

They were people she'd saved independently on her own initiative. If Elric didn't want them following along, she would obey his judgment without argument or resentment.

Elric considered for a moment, weighing the pros and cons, then nodded decisively.

"Yeah, bring them along."

But he fixed both college girls with a serious stare.

"However, you two need to understand your position clearly from the start. Otherwise, you'll face consequences. Understood?"

He meant it plainly and directly:

They were not going to be his women. That status was reserved for those who met specific criteria.

They would be joining the group as essentially maids—helping with cooking, cleaning, and daily household tasks.

One woman was already handling most of the domestic work alone, and that needed to change. The workload should be distributed.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" They both bowed repeatedly, clearly just relieved he wasn't abandoning them to fend for themselves.

Being maids was infinitely better than being dead or assaulted.

The five of them headed downstairs together.

Elric casually reached into his spatial storage and summoned two rugged off-road SUVs, materializing them on the street as if pulling rabbits from a hat.

The two college girls' jaws literally dropped. This was the first real display of his supernatural abilities they'd witnessed.

Lily and Rachel took control of one vehicle, which would allow them to make a quick detour to transport accumulated supplies from a nearby supermarket back to the main residential building.

Within just ten minutes, the entire group was fully assembled and loaded up.

Both vehicles began driving steadily toward their destination—the residential complex, Building 9, 28th Floor.

The place Elric had claimed as his territory and home base.

The moment Elric teleported into the apartment, Natasha, Jenna, Grace, and Olivia all came running toward him with obvious excitement and relief.

Even Erin—though trying to maintain her usual cool, aloof demeanor—had noticeably brightened eyes and a subtle smile.

Elric was their backbone, their protector, their anchor in this chaotic world.

He'd only been gone for a single day, but the women had worried constantly the entire time, imagining worst-case scenarios.

Seeing him return alive and apparently unharmed lifted an enormous weight from all their hearts.

But before anyone could properly celebrate his return—

One by one, six new women stepped into the apartment behind Elric.

Elizabeth in her white research coat, looking like she'd just walked out of a laboratory.

Rachel in her police uniform, projecting authority and competence.

Lily with her sweet, innocent energy.

Nina with her crude street attitude and tough exterior.

Plus those two college girls, looking nervous and overwhelmed.

Natasha and the original women absolutely froze in shock.

"Oh my God..." Jenna whispered, her voice barely audible. "These are all new women he found on the trip?"

Her eyes went wide with disbelief.

"In just one day... he brought back six more??"

Her lips pursed tightly with obvious frustration and insecurity.

She'd known intellectually that Elric would eventually bring in more women to the group. That was just how things worked in this new world.

But six in a single trip? And several of them were incredibly beautiful—especially Elizabeth with her cold, intellectual beauty and Rachel with that sexy police officer appeal.

Jenna's confidence about her own position dropped sharply.

She wasn't the only one feeling this way either.

Natasha, Grace, and the others all felt a sharp pang of sour jealousy mixed with insecurity.

And poor Oli, who was already incredibly insecure about her scarred appearance...

The moment she saw all these gorgeous newcomers, she immediately lowered her head until her chin nearly touched her chest, retreating further into the background shadows, tears forming in her eyes.

I'm even less special now. Why would he want me when he has all of them?

But of course, not everyone was miserable about the situation.

Erin, in stark contrast, looked absolutely thrilled.

She practically bolted toward the group of newcomers like an excited puppy spotting new playmates, introducing herself with over-enthusiastic energy, her attention particularly focused on Elizabeth and Rachel.

More beautiful women meant more fun for her.

"Alright, everyone," Elric said calmly, raising one hand to get the room's attention.

Instant silence fell. All eyes turned to him.

"You can all get to know each other first. Introduce yourselves, figure out the living arrangements, establish some basic ground rules."

He paused deliberately, letting that sink in.

"Tonight, I'll properly arrange everything that needs to be handled."

Another meaningful pause.

"I'll officially take them in. One by one."

The announcement hit the room like a psychological bomb exploding.

Some women blushed bright red and looked away. Some stared at the floor awkwardly. Some looked competitive, as if mentally preparing for some kind of contest. Some looked absolutely crushed, like their hearts were breaking.

But ultimately?

They all accepted it.
