Inside the Temple of Aphrodite, Notus, the God of the South Wind, bypassed the colossal statue of Aphrodite and her soft couch, eagerly entering Aphrodite's bedroom located at the rear of the Temple of Aphrodite.
Several candles illuminated the bedroom, casting a hazy, ambiguous glow, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of roses. The moment Notus, the God of the South Wind, stepped into the room, his gaze was immediately drawn to the slender figure lying on the massive soft bed.
Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty, lay alluringly on her bed, clad in a rose-red gown. She propped her cheek with an arm as white as jade, and her flawless, beautiful face, with its captivating blue eyes, sparkled with enchanting light.
What captivated Notus's gaze even more was the luxurious belt around her slender waist, beneath which hung a translucent veil-like skirt and black lace stockings.
Seeing this, Notus, the God of the South Wind, became parched with urgency. He stood rooted to the spot, feeling utterly flustered, as if he had lost the ability to speak.
"Notus," Aphrodite asked languidly, "Do you have nothing to say?"
"A-Aphrodite," Notus swallowed, speaking with difficulty, "You are truly beautiful today."
"Pfft." The Goddess of Beauty couldn't help but let out a delicate laugh, then she languidly twisted her waist and beckoned to the God of the South Wind: "Fool, hurry over."
Hearing the Goddess of Beauty's allure, the God of the South Wind could no longer restrain himself and pounced on her like a wild beast.
...
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh—!!"
Outside the Temple of Aphrodite, Ares, who was guarding it, suddenly heard a bloodcurdling scream not long after the God of the South Wind had entered.
"He took the bait!"
He perked up, then grabbed his weapon and shield, and without a word, rushed into the Temple of Aphrodite.
Upon reaching Aphrodite's bedroom, Ares kicked open the door and charged in, yelling as he did so, "What happened? What happened? Has someone been beaten?!"
Once Ares burst into Aphrodite's bedroom, he saw the tragic state of Notus, the God of the South Wind. He and Aphrodite lay disheveled on the bed, the Goddess of Beauty's face filled with shock and panic, while the God of the South Wind clutched his groin in agony. On the bed where he and Aphrodite lay, a large pool of vibrant divine blood had already soaked the sheets.
Ares first glanced at the miserable state of Notus, God of the South Wind. Although this current situation of the God of the South Wind was essentially his idea, he instinctively clamped his legs together upon seeing it. Then, Ares feigned a look of shock, looking at Notus, the God of the South Wind, and asked, "Notus, why are you here?"
"Ares, I, I..." Notus was already drenched in sweat from the pain, and now seeing Ares, the God of War, burst in and interrupt his good time with the Goddess of Beauty, he was so flustered he didn't know how to answer.
However, Ares immediately answered for him. The God of War, his hair standing on end, roared, "Damn it, you dog, how dare you take advantage of my elder brother's absence to bully my sister-in-law?"
In accordance with Ares's usual fiery temper, Ares began to act immediately after saying this. He strode in a few steps to Aphrodite's front, grabbed one of Notus, the God of the South Wind's arms, and then his fist, as big as a cooking pot, went straight for Notus's face.
"You're just a God of Wind, how dare you get so audacious?!"
After two resounding punches, Notus, the God of the South Wind's head was already spinning, but he now realized that he had probably been schemed against by some deity. However, the God of War had already restrained his arm, and that hand was like a shackle, tightly locking his wrist, preventing him from breaking free.
Under intense pain, it was unclear if Notus had lost his rationality, but he actually mustered his divine power, summoning a furious gust of wind, attempting to resist Ares.
However, such an action only further ignited the God of War's fury.
"You dare to resist me?!"
Even if it was just a clone infused with divine power, the mighty Ares, the God of War, was not someone a lesser God of the South Wind could withstand. Seeing Notus muster his divine power to try and blow him away, Ares directly raised his palm, and his fan-like hand, like a whip, carrying intense fiery divine power, directly shattered Notus's divine power storm, and then slapped the God of the South Wind's face.
With a dull thud, half of Notus's teeth were knocked out by Ares's slap. Then Ares directly picked up the God of the South Wind, and amidst Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty's screams, he slammed him hard onto the ground like a rag doll, then straddled him, clenching his fists at the same time.
"You shouldn't provoke me, Ares, even if you provoke others! I can tolerate enduring shit and piss, but I can't tolerate you!"
Ares roared, raining punches down on Notus, the God of the South Wind's face.
"Stop fighting!" Seeing this, Aphrodite rushed forward, desperately pulling Ares's arm, shouting, "Ares, if you keep hitting him, he'll die!"
"If he dies, he dies. He deserves to die for daring to cuckold my elder brother!" Ares turned his head and said, "Why are you trying to stop me? He was humiliating you!"
"Uh, actually..." Aphrodite hesitated, stammering, not daring to admit that she was the one who initiated it.
However, Notus, the God of the South Wind, was different. His life was already like a flickering candle in the wind, and he no longer cared about such things. He directly begged Ares for mercy: "Ares, spare me, she was the one who seduced me first!"
"What?! You slut!" Ares roared, kicking Notus into the wall of the Temple of Aphrodite, then clenching his fists and walking towards Aphrodite: "My brother is so good to you, how dare you cuckold him?"
Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty, trembled in fear, paralyzed by the bloodthirsty God of War. Fortunately, at this moment, the gods, awakened by the commotion, rushed over, and Ares finally stopped. By this time, Notus, the God of the South Wind, who had just been brutally beaten by him, was on his last breath, just a gasp away from joining Hades.
When all the gods arrived inside the Temple of Aphrodite and saw the chaotic scene, they were all astonished. Zeus looked at Ares, the God of War, and Notus, the God of the South Wind, who was barely clinging to life after being beaten by him, and asked in surprise:
"Ares... what are you, what are you doing?"
"I'm beating the adulterer!" Ares turned his head at the sound, pointing at Aphrodite and Notus on the ground, and roared, "These two dogs, daring to have an affair behind Hephaestus's back!"
"What?!" Hearing Ares's words, Heavenly Queen Hera also widened her eyes in surprise. Immediately, she felt as if she had been insulted, and a surge of anger rose from the bottom of her heart.
Hera was not only the mother of the wronged party, Hephaestus, but she was also the guardian deity of marriage, and one of the most faithful goddesses to marriage on Olympus. This not only symbolized her virtue but also her status and source of power as the Heavenly Queen. For Hera, Aphrodite and Notus's actions at this moment were tantamount to riding on her head and relieving themselves anywhere.
So, the Heavenly Queen also angrily walked up to Aphrodite, extended her hand, and slapped Aphrodite across the face, simultaneously cursing:
"You little slut, how dare you mess with me?"
