"Clark, are you afraid Ms. Cassandra's prophecy of the future will come true?"
On the way to biology class, Pete whispered to Clark.
"Yes, as crazy as it sounds, she showed me some bad things, and I don't know how to describe the feeling."
"Clark, I know that feeling."
Pete didn't doubt Clark like Jonathan and Martha did; instead, he agreed with him.
"When I first met Ms. Cassandra, she told me that my drive home today would be a long one, so I rummaged through my pockets and found I had locked my car keys inside the car."
"Perhaps fate can be glimpsed."
The two spoke as they entered the biology lab.
This biology class was a mixed course, so students from other classes also attended.
After they sat down, Pete nudged Clark's arm and whispered, "Hey, Clark, Eric is right behind you."
"I know."
Clark responded weakly.
"Have you two been fighting lately? You used to greet Eric often, but recently—"
Pete shrugged, the rest of his words unspoken.
"No, I just don't know how to deal with what I saw in Ms. Cassandra's predicted future; Eric and I had some conflict."
Clark explained to Pete with some confusion.
"Although I don't know what you saw, Clark, you can't blame others for things that haven't happened, especially since he's your family."
Pete said seriously.
"I understand. It's not about blaming Eric; I just don't know how to face him."
"Mmm-hmm, that's entirely up to you, brother."
Pete stopped talking and looked behind him.
Chloe and Lana sat together, having become good friends at some point, whispering to each other.
Lana looked preoccupied, constantly glancing to her left.
Eric sat in that spot, holding a book, his brows furrowed, as if he had encountered a difficult problem.
After exhaling and silently mourning his brother's love life for a second, Pete turned around.
The book Eric held, which Lana was watching, was a magic book obtained from the Owl Council.
Although he wasn't particularly interested in magic, it was a good way to pass the time when he had nothing else to do.
Agreements or deals with demons, rituals and spells for summoning evil spirits, most were written records related to Hell and Lucifer, as well as unknown magical rituals.
Eric even found magic that could resurrect the Deadman.
"Lucifer?"
Closing the ominous magic book, Eric fell into thought.
As far as he knew, there was a group of magic-wielding superheroes in the DC universe, such as Constantine, Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, and Zatanna.
Where there is light, there will also be darkness; some villainous magic users, such as Lucifer, the Three Hell Kings, and the First Fallen, also frequently appeared in the world.
Eric had no intention of interacting with these people, nor was he interested in the conflicts of the magic world.
As for this kind of magic book, it was merely a pastime for when he was bored.
Magic, which was extraordinarily precious in the eyes of ordinary people, was merely poison used to deceive mortals in his eyes.
As Eric pondered, a student pushed a teaching projector into the aisle to his left.
Pete, sitting in the front, saw the projector and complained to Clark, "This is just great!"
"What?"
"Every year, that old Mr. Karwoski shows an old, innocent film as a summary for the biology course."
Pete replied weakly.
Clark looked at the projector and asked Pete, "Who told you? Your brother?"
"No, it was my dad."
Clark replied with a smile, "I'm sure it won't be that bad, Pete."
"Good morning!"
As they spoke, a beautiful figure walked into the classroom.
A woman with a hot figure and wavy golden hair, wearing a light green dress, walked into the classroom with a powerful stride.
"Mr. Karwoski's teaching career had a slight accident. I am your new biology teacher, teaching you health and human growth. My name is—Akins."
She turned around and wrote her name on the blackboard.
Her buttocks, barely covered by fabric, attracted the attention of the entire class.
Especially Pete, whose eyes were almost glazed over. He reached out and grabbed Clark's arm beside him, excitedly unable to control himself.
"I'm sorry the air in here is a bit bad, but we're about to watch a movie, so we'll have to share this difficult time together."
Ms. Aikins smiled and walked to the window to draw the curtains.
Her movements as she drew the curtains were slow and alluring, showcasing her figure to all the male students in the class.
"I can't wait for this difficult time."
Pete swallowed, staring intently at Ms. Aikins as he spoke.
Clark didn't speak, feeling a bit parched.
"The movie is about to start. I hope no one falls asleep, otherwise, I'll have to make some considerations on your report card."
Ms. Aikins walked down the aisle to the movie projector and bent down to face Eric, who had been looking at his book and ignoring her.
"And even if you're not interested in the movie, you must patiently watch it, right? Eric?"
Lana, sitting not far away, frowned. "She seems to know Eric."
"Mmm-hmm, not surprising. Although he's a bit cold, Eric's popularity at school is higher than we imagine."
Chloe saw Eric close his book, still with his 'sexually indifferent' expression, and whispered gleefully, "I now think Eric's poker face, while sometimes unapproachable, often has unexpected effects against women exuding excessive hormones."
Lana's lips curved into a slight smile as she listened to Chloe's complaint.
"All members of the animal kingdom, from the simplest single-celled organisms to the most complex mammals, are dedicated to the reproduction of offspring, which ensures that each individual organism can pass on its genetic information to the next generation. Animals rely on various courtship methods, through the union of two parties—"
The narrator's voice in the movie slowly read out, accompanied by images of animals coupling, making Lana's face flush slightly.
Clark also broke into a sweat and looked at Ms. Aikins, who was standing at the back.
Ms. Aikins was also sweating a lot due to the hot weather, and the beads of sweat rolled on her skin.
Clark swallowed, immediately feeling an uncontrollable heat rush up, and his eyes had a burning sensation.
The next second, the movie screen he was looking at burst into flames with a "whoosh"!
