The sound of the coffee machine hissing fills the quiet space. Two senior managers, Manager Choi and Team Lead Park, stand by the counter, talking in low voices. Mina steps in quietly to pour hot water into her instant coffee cup.
She doesn't mean to listen, but their voices carry. Manager Choi sighs, rubbing his temples. "Three months of negotiation…..just gone like that? The client pulled out overnight. No explanation."
Team Lead Park scoffs under his breath.
"Pulled out? That's what they're saying. But you know how CEO Henley is. If he discards a deal, there's a reason. And nobody asks."
The manager clicks his tongue, frustad. "Still, what a waste. Our team worked our asses off on the San proposal. You especially, you trained the juniors for that presentation, didn't you?"
