Chapter 78 - 78

Suddenly, a little girl's voice rang out.

The sound was crisp and sweet.

But the moment Clark heard it, his body suddenly froze.

My God, not again?

Clark possesses a super memory, essentially able to remember everything he sees.

The moment the voice appeared, the fourth rule of the supernatural tales surfaced in his mind:

When you hear "one, two, three," be alert. When the sound is repeated a third time, you must respond correctly!

The words that echoed in my ears, weren't they from that strange tale of a rule?

"Something's wrong!"

"I'm being watched!"

Thinking of this, a chill ran through Clark's heart.

"Where is the little girl who was speaking?"

He looked around.

Nobody here?

how so??

Thermal vision activated.

No living being can hide from him.

Three seconds later.

But they still couldn't find any trace of the little girl.

Where exactly is it...?

Clark was stunned.

Suddenly, he felt a slight itch in his arm.

"Something is rubbing against my arm."

The thought arose.

Clark immediately looked down at his arm.

A wooden doll is clinging to his arm and nibbling on it.

A sharp pain shot through my arm.

"My steel body was gnawed through by a puppet?"

Clark, who had never encountered anything so bizarre, frantically shook his arms.

Snap!

The doll was successfully thrown away and fell to the ground.

"Get out of my way!"

In a fit of shock and anger, he stomped on it.

Boom!

Superman's power is immense.

Even so, Clark is still an underdeveloped Superman.

However, they also possess power comparable to that of Omega-level mutants.

The terrifying physical strength caused the area within a ten-mile radius to tremble in an instant.

Within a radius of one mile, a terrifying giant crater appeared.

As for the doll that was stepped on...

"He should be dead, right?"

Clark thought to himself, somewhat uncertainly.

The doll was too eerie; he couldn't believe he could kill it so easily.

The next moment.

The little girl's voice rang in my ears once again.

Surprisingly, he really didn't die.

Clark felt powerless.

Even the mighty Iron Man would die from that kick, right?

And that doll...

"one two three..."

A clear, innocent voice rang in my ears.

The doll, now in Clark's hands, is grinning.

This has happened twice.

After the third time, you must be able to use it.

But what should we respond to?

Clark looked bewildered.

"one two three..."

The third time arrived as scheduled.

A deadly crisis, unlike anything I'd ever felt before, rose from the depths of my heart.

"Wooden Man!"

In his desperation, Clark instinctively shouted it out.

The doll-like girl, Cai Cai, tilted her little head and looked at the man in front of her.

The body slowly disappeared.

Su Lin, who had been watching this side, fell silent for a moment.

He never expected that Clark would guess correctly.

"Is it too easy?"

He shook his head, somewhat disappointed.

Originally, I was hoping that killing Clark would cause the ghost story genre to skyrocket.

And now...

"Let's wait a little longer," he sighed.

The crisis has passed.

Clark looked around, but the terrifying doll figure had not reappeared.

The eerie sound in my ear also disappeared.

The whole world became quiet.

"I never want to hear a little girl's voice again!"

"I don't want to see dolls or puppets either!"

Clark thought to himself.

This eerie space is so terrifying; Scott and Jean are probably in grave danger.

"No, they are powerful, experienced mutants."

"It's not that easy to die."

The crisis has been resolved.

Clark continued his search for clues within the haunted village.

But then, he suddenly felt a little sleepy.

"What happened?"

"I suddenly feel so sleepy."

This drowsiness is abnormal.

Clark knew it very well.

His body was as strong as an ox, but his spirit was weak.

"Don't sleep during the day."

Another rule from the ghost stories flashed through my mind.
