The noise hit immediately. Weights clanking. Treadmills humming. Voices mixing with music from the overhead speakers.
Kelvin and Priscilla were standing near the water fountains, maybe fifteen feet away. Kelvin had a white towel draped around his neck, a water bottle in his hand. Priscilla stood beside him, arms crossed, her dark wavy hair loose around her shoulders now.
Kelvin saw them first.
His eyes landed on Liam, then Jane, then back to Liam. His eyebrows lifted slightly.
Priscilla turned her head, following Kelvin's gaze. When she saw Jane, her face lit up immediately, her eyes brightening, a smile spreading across her lips.
