Diana's hands came up to cover her face, her breathing ragged, her body trembling.
"I can't... we can't... this is..." Her words were fragmenting, falling apart before they could fully form. She was shaking her head, her white hair falling across her fingers as she tried to compose herself.
They were still on the floor behind the couch, the silence of the house settling around them after Elsa's footsteps had faded away upstairs.
