She walked to the cabinet, opened it, and stared at the neatly folded clothes inside and then at the ones tossed around. Then she laughed softly, almost pityingly. "Keep them.." she said. "You've already dirtied them by touching them. I won't wear them again."
The three maids stood frozen, unsure whether to thank her or run.
Yunying turned to the maid who had brought her here. "Wait for me by the door."
The girl nodded quickly, her expression pale with relief, and slipped out.
Yunying took one last look at the frightened faces before her, her tone calm but venomous. "Next time you want to act smart, remember this moment and remember how close you came to losing everything."
Then she left.
When she came downstairs again, the maid was waiting anxiously by the entrance. Yunying walked past her, suitcase in one hand, car keys in the other.
"Come.." she said.
The maid blinked. "M-me?"
"Yes, you. We're going to the hospital."
