Viviana opened the door of her apartment. She was about to step out for work, but paused as her eyes fell on the bouquet placed right in front of her door.
She didn't need to think to know it was him. Nikolas had been sending flowers every day, every morning, consistently. He'd never missed a single day. Wasn't he tired of doing this?
One of her rooms was drowning with roses at this point.
Picking the bouquet up, she opened the card to read the contents.
— I know you missed me. If you call me over, I'd come. I promise —
"Hmph!" She scoffed, but didn't drop the flowers.
If anything, she took it, leaving the apartment to the maids who bowed to her with smiles on their faces.
