Viviana's eyes drifted to the table far from the window. Sasha was seated, shoulders slumped and head lowered as if trying to avoid being recognized.
Taking a deep breath, Viviana approached and took a seat opposite her. "Sasha?"
Sasha quickly lifted her brown eyes, meeting her gaze. A look of relief flashed on her face.
"Are you alright?" Viviana asked.
"Yeah. It's just…" Sasha swallowed. "I haven't gone to work since what happened last time, and I always feel like someone is watching me. What if Fernando is after me?"
"Does he know you have this evidence?"
"No." She shook her head. "I don't think so. I hid it well."
"Then there's nothing to be scared of," Viviana said to her. She steepled her fingers, asking, "Do you feel safe at our place?"
"Not really."
"Does Fernando know where you live?"
