Celina's POV
Harriet summoned me to her hospital room before the results announcement. The moment I stepped inside, I had to bite my lip to suppress a laugh. Her face was so swollen she looked like she'd been stung by a dozen bees. Her lips were puffed up beyond recognition, making every word sound distorted and strange.
"Howcouldyouletmebeatuplikethis?"
I blinked, genuinely confused. "What?"
Her already narrow eyes squeezed into slits as she glared daggers at me. "I'llmakeyoupayforthi!"
I turned away, collecting myself before facing her again. "If you're asking about what happened during the Nesting Trials, I honestly have no clue why Darius acted that way. It came out of nowhere."
Her next garbled words made it clear that my survival in the Luna trials was crucial. Her father had called, and apparently his tone was more threatening than usual.
