Chapter 130 - [130] Breaking Into The Commission

Takahiro, a director at the Hero Public Safety Commission, sat in his office, reading through the reports in front of him with a frown on his face.

"Are you telling me that that damn salamander gang couldn't even get the job done?!" He barked, squeezing the reports.

"And what do you mean the Fallen Legion got involved? I thought we managed to get them off our backs?"

The agent in the room nodded. "From our findings, Pulse was present at the scene and was swiftly dealt with by the Midnight Vigilante."

The Midnight Vigilante…

Just the mention of his name left a bitter taste in his mouth.

The Midnight Vigilante was one of the biggest problems they had in recent days.

The fact that they could never tell what he was thinking only made matters worse.

There were times he would act like a hero and stop certain disasters, and other times where his actions were borderline criminal!

'That bastard…'

Their operation that night had been meticulously planned out for the past three months.

They had even gone as far as clearing the schedules of heroes that were meant to be patrolling that area.

Everything was perfect, but now all their plans had come to no avail. All because of him.

"I think it's about time we dealt with that issue… who knows, he might soon have the boldness to bring the fight right into our homes—"

Bang!

The building suddenly shook as an explosion boomed outside, causing the entire office to tremble.

"What the hell is that?!" Takahiro barked.

The operative in front of him tapped his earpiece, an indecipherable voice coming from the other side.

Then his face suddenly changed, his expression shifting to that of shock.

"Are you serious?!" He asked, looking skeptical.

"What is happening? Don't leave me hanging!"

The operative raised his gaze to meet him, his brows creased together. "We are under attack!"

"Under attack? Who would dare attack us?!"

"It's the Midnight Vigilante…"

Takahiro swallowed his words, his heart trembling in his chest.

"H-he's here? What the hell is he doing here, why now of all days?"

He got up from his chair, his gaze sharp as he hurried over to his window, just to see that their gate had been blown apart.

'Is he here because of that…' he mused.

His fists tightened by his sides. 'That means what that girl said was true, that bastard Orion went and ran that foul mouth of his!'

"Secure the perimeter and make sure he does not enter the building at all costs!"

Tak tak tak!!!

Bullets rained down on Kyle, sparking as they crashed into his windshield.

But Kyle ignored them, rising higher into the sky, the girls floating beside him to enjoy the safety of his shield.

His large wings were fanned out by his sides, blood soaking them thoroughly and dripping only to suspend in the air around them.

"Alright, let's see how you guys like it—"

Whoosh!

Hundreds of wings, along with bullets made of condensed blood, shot toward the soldiers, rushing past their bullets and exploding on their bodies.

The feathers continued to race, cutting a space for them to descend through the storm of bullets.

And using the opportunity, the group landed, successfully infiltrating the Commission.

"Try not to kill them….."

A large wave of shadows suddenly rose high up into the sky like an indomitable wall before them.

Solvane stared at the soldiers, and by just waving her hand, she took multiple soldiers down in an instant.

Himiko laughed hysterically as she raced toward them even as they unleashed hell on her.

Bullets raced at her, but she blocked all the shots with the metal wrapped around her arm, just before she reached the group.

Himiko spun the moment she made contact, swinging the heel of her foot right at a man's face.

His head snapped back instantly, his body going limp as he fell unconscious.

Bullets flew in her direction, but Himiko ran back, the shots creating deep grooves in the path she had followed, but completely missing.

"Come on, don't tell me that is all you've got?" She asked in an enthusiastic voice.

The woman raised his gun, her face twisting in a scowl, but before she could fire, Himiko's body blurred, and then in the next moment, she appeared right behind her, her cold voice ringing in his head.

"Too slow…"

Thump!

Himiko slammed her hand into the nape of her neck, sending vibrations down her spine as she went down to her knees.

By the time she turned to get back into the battle, the blonde vampire realized that every one of the soldiers had already been knocked out.

"Hey, no fair, I still wanted to fight some!" She complained as they began casually strolling toward the building, the guards left at the entrance nervously watching them.

"Sakura, are you getting all this?" Kyle asked. A few seconds later, there was a buzz from the intercom.

"Of course, all three cameras are perfectly operational!" Her voice came from the other side.

"Good, we will soon be in the building."

Tzzzzz!

Electricity sparked around his body, coiling around his coat and arm just before he sent a bolt right at the guards.

Their screams filled the air as they crumpled to the ground, convulsing, freeing the path to the Commission.

Kyle was just about to step in when he heard a light rustle.

?!!

He suddenly jumped back, his clothing billowing in the wind as he pulled Sakura and Himiko back along with him.

Right before their eyes, a dark, eerie mass suddenly encapsulated the space they had once stood, completely engulfing everything in sight.

"W-what is that?" Solvane asked, confused as she stared at the morbid substance.

Then it slowly retreated back into the building, leaving a gaping hole in the floor.

Then came the sound of boots clicking on the floor. Out of the building, a woman walked toward them in slow, confident strides.

Her short black hair was tied back to free her face, and her long leather gown clung to her in a way that highlighted her tempting figure.

There was a long slit that cut right from the bottom of the gown up to her mid-thighs for mobility.

She smiled as she saw them, juggling two kunai in her hands as she stared at them.

"Ohh, welcome, darlings!" She said in a salacious voice.

But just as Kyle saw her, he immediately recognized who the woman was.

It was the exact same woman who had approached him on the bus the night he had learned of Akiko's sickness.

"My name is Gypsy!"

She said, then paused and frowned.

"But I guess that isn't too important since this will be your grave..."
