Becoming a vampire was not as easy as it sounded, one had to consider the issues associated with it.
Yes, you would gain strength you could only ever dream of. Your senses would be sharpened, and your body would be resistant to most diseases.
But it was not without risk.
One well-placed stake to the chest was all it took to kill you, but then again, a stake to the chest would kill most humans...
The main issue with being a vampire was blood lust and the calamity that would ensue if you avoided blood.
Kyle had not experienced it himself, but it was most likely what had happened to Himiko when she newly transformed, only worse.
A state where you lose part of your sanity and do everything possible to satisfy your cravings.
Yet, even after explaining everything, Sakura seemed even more excited by the thought of it.
"Of course I'll do it! I didn't even know you could do that… I would have asked ages ago!"
Kyle did not know how to respond to her enthusiasm.
'This was far too easy…'
Then again, he should have expected it. For someone like Sakura who had never wielded a quirk in her life, it must have been too good an offer to pass up on.
Just like Deku, she must have been bullied and discriminated against all through her life.
"Come on, Saku, let's go meet the others."

Anika was in her office kitchen which was placed very far from the area where books were kept, for obvious reasons…
She was stirring bacon and eggs in the pan, while a light chime from the toaster alerted her that her bread was fully cooked.
"Himiko, how many eggs do you want?" She called over her shoulder to Himiko who was seated on the kitchen counter.
Himiko was staring at her phone, rapidly tapping. "Umm… three?"
Anika chuckled. "Who are you talking to? You've been stuck on that phone for hours now."
She barely looked up to respond. "Kyle…"
"Oh, your boyfriend?"
Himiko immediately looked up from her phone, her face blushed red. "B-boyfriend?"
"Hmm? What is wrong?" Anika asked, a light smile on her face.
"Are you still nervous about calling him your boyfriend after so long? Hehe, kids these days."
Himiko smiled nervously.
'Boyfriend huh…' she thought.
'I guess we are dating, right?' There was no difference she could imagine between those dating and the relationship she had with Kyle.
Just the mere thought of the things they had done made her feel lightheaded.
But at the same time, they had not yet called themselves that, not ever, not even by mistake.
Himiko breathed out a sigh and slowly tapped her head against the overhead cupboard.
She had never even thought about it, but now that Anika mentioned it, it was all she could think about.
Anika grabbed the tray of food and began walking out of the kitchen. "Let's go eat!"

Solvane was seated in the darkness of the attic, right in front of a black and white television.
Her eyes were locked on the screen, absorbing every single information on the cartoon program, unblinking.
Occasionally, her wolf ears would twitch when something funny or exciting would happen, but other than that, she just sat still.
Then after a short moment, the graphics blurred as the connection became unstable.
Solvane huffed angrily. "Useless piece of junk…"
Her hand morphed into a wolf paw and she pounded the television repeatedly, until it regained signal.
But before she could re-immerse herself in the program, the lights flicked on, engulfing the room in a bright glow.
"Ahhh! My eyes!" Solvane shrieked in a light girlish voice, as she rolled on the floor like a salted worm.
"Turn it off, turn it off! God, I'm going to die!"
Himiko walked up to her, casting a little shadow over her face.
"Don't be dramatic, you do this every day."
Solvane pouted. "And I tell you every day, light is my weakness!"
There was a reason the attic was pitch black and the TV was black and white.
Light had a way of messing with Solvane's body. She would feel extremely sleepy and her darkness powers were far weaker.
Well… it was not fatal, but still…
Then a blissful aroma reached her nose, causing her ears to twitch as she shot up to her feet.
"Bacon?!"
Anika smiled and passed them all their trays, after which they dug in.
After they finished eating, Solvane smiled. "Thanks for the food, Miss Anika, sorry for imposing on you…"
Since the day Kyle found her here, she had been feeding her and taking care of her other needs.
Anika smiled. "Don't worry about it, hehe, it's sad you'll be leaving today.
"That means my fat cheques will end as well…" Anika muttered in a low voice, wiping an invisible tear from her eyes.
They spoke for a few minutes, after which Himiko's phone rang.
"Ohh, Kyle is here!" Himiko said excitedly as she stood up.
She tried pulling Solvane along with her, but she just fell flat on her face.
"I… canch walkh…" she said, her voice muffled from speaking into the floor.
"What? Stop playing around, we need to go."
"…"
"Solvane…"
"…"
Himiko sighed and ran a hand through her face. Then she grabbed both her arms and pulled her up, easily placing her on her back.
Anika's eyes widened. "Wow, you're pretty strong…"
Himiko angrily grunted as she carried her out of the room and downstairs.
When they got to the bottom floor, Anika gave Solvane a hat and dark shades to protect her from the sunlight.
It wasn't as good as staying in the darkness…
'But it's not bad…'
Outside the library, Kyle was leaning by his BMW, staring at something in the distance, then when he sensed them, he turned and smiled.
Solvane stared at the car for a few seconds. "It looks expensive, your boyfriend is pretty rich, isn't he?"
She barely spent any time outside, but she could tell at a glance that the car must have cost a fortune.
Solvane felt Himiko's back tighten at her words. "Keep quiet, don't say that around Kyle!" she sharply whispered.
"Hmm, say what?" Solvane blinked.
Kyle walked up to Miss Anika and shook her hand. "Thank you for taking care of Solvane for us, we are very grateful."
Miss Anika nodded. "Don't bother about it, it was my pleasure."
"Oh, before I forget." Kyle put his hand into his pocket and pulled out an envelope. "This is for you…"
"Oh, no no no, you shouldn't have!" Anika said while snatching up the envelope, her eye glittering like jewels.
'She isn't even trying to hide it…' Solvane thought, then she yawned.
"Himiko, I feel sleepy…"
Himiko sighed. "You can sleep in the car," she said as she walked towards the back door.
Kyle opened the door to the back, and Himiko placed her inside. "Alright, let's go."
But just as she opened her eyes lazily, about to fasten her seatbelt, she froze when she realized she was not alone.
There was a woman seated next to her, her hands folded on her lap. She had auburn hair, clear violet eyes and a friendly demeanor.
'She's probably about my age…'
The woman's face brightened up immediately when she saw Solvane.
"Hmm, who's this cute kid?" she asked, leaning over to pinch her cheeks.
Solvane frowned.
'I don't like her…'
