Chapter 122 - It Could've Been-II

Betrayal didn't sound right to Hades.

He himself had never particularly taken it kindly, whether someone had betrayed him or not. Whenever a subordinate chose treason, Hades would look away in that very moment and leave them behind. He would kill if he was physically harmed, yes, but if it was merely disloyalty, he would simply abandon the betrayer without a second glance.

Abandoned.

Him?

Hades's expression shifted almost imperceptibly, and Apollo knew better than to add more firewood to an already raging forest fire. Still, his eyes couldn't help but trail back toward the carriage once more.

His master, by all means, was not a normal creature. He was different from the rest, and it showed most clearly in the way he thought and acted. At times, Hades would carry out actions that appeared malicious, cruel even, when in truth, they were done in good faith, guided by a logic that few could ever understand.
