Excited that he could finally get what he wanted, Adrian didn't even mind that he was being ordered around by a dog anymore.
He couldn't care less.
He rushed behind Evangeline, his fingers hooking into the white cloth around her mouth before yanking it tight, tight enough that her lips pressed so hard against the fabric that faint streaks of red began to bleed through.
The woman saw it happen, but Eva still couldn't see even a trace of guilt in her eyes. Despite being a woman herself, despite knowing exactly what kind of nightmare this was, she simply watched. As if Eva's suffering meant nothing.
As if what Eva was going through was normal... no. As if the Hell she was about to face was just the only choice she has.
The woman cupped Eva's cheeks, forcing her chin up. With her other hand she snapped open the small glass flask of love potion and whispered, almost tenderly:
"Don't blame me for this. I'm only doing my work."
