Yuki's Cooking Disaster (Yuki's POV)
It had been a whole month since she started dating Seb (if you forgot, Al was called Seb in his first nightmare).
And in all that time, she hadn't done anything that nice for him. Yeah, sure, she always gave him cuddles and teased him whenever he was reading his boring books so he wouldn't feel lonely, but that wasn't enough. She needed to be the best girlfriend in the world. After all, she was the proud princess of the Yukubo clan—she had to show off.
But the issue was that her boyfriend was either an idiot or had brain damage, and at this point Yuki just assumed he had both.
No matter how hard Yuki tried to figure out what he liked, he always changed the subject and made her do all the talking for hours. And while Yuki did like the sound of her own voice, she also hated rambling—but for some reason that damned Seb never stopped her. And now she couldn't forget all her embarrassing rambles, like that one time she asked him if he'd still love her if she was a worm, and somehow it ended with her naming fifty of their hypothetical worm kids. God, she wanted to burn that memory to ash.
…Wait, where was she? Oh, right—she wanted to do something special for him. And after careful consideration, she came up with an idea: she'd ask the maids for help.
Yuki skipped through the halls, her blue tails swaying behind her as she giggled at her ingenious plan. There was no way Seb would discover her scheme.
Unfortunately, she was about to bump into a vase… again, when Sebastian, the vampire prince himself, grabbed her and pulled her into his arms.
"Please stop bumping into stuff. I can't handle pulling glass out of you again, especially since you're always annoying about it."
Yuki blushed at the contact, immediately forgetting where she had been going.
"Uh… Seb, so where are you going?"
"I grabbed a snack for myself since they ran out of those chocolate cakes I like. Then I remembered you liked these kinds of snacks, so I decided to bring them to you."
Yuki looked at the basket filled with pastries in Seb's hand and… she folded.
"Gimme."
Yuki lunged at the pastries, but Sebastian dodged away.
"Nope. I got these for a picnic, so let's go outside."
Yuki sighed.
"Fine, let's go."
She clung to Sebastian's arm as they walked. If this were literally anyone else, Seb would've probably punched them in the face, but he always made exceptions for Yuki—because he was Yuki's little tsundere vampire boyfriend.
After they reached the garden outside Dracula's castle, Sebastian laid out a cloth for them to sit on.
He helped Yuki sit down and also gave Hairless something to eat, gently patting his hairless mane.
"Thanks for carrying us here, friend."
Then he sat down and enjoyed a calm, peaceful picnic with the most treasured person in his world—a world that wasn't real, a world where the only person truly alive was Sebastian himself. Yet he didn't let that bother him. He stayed and listened to Yuki talk. Her voice was soothing to him, and her laugh was a precious treasure—one he wasn't willing to let go of.
Finally, they finished all the snacks Sebastian had prepared, but they still stayed and talked, not caring about anything around them. The conversation wasn't important, but it mattered—not because of the topic, but because they were having it together and spending time with each other.
