Synopsis: The Playoffs have come to an end and the two friends have finally reunited. However, the story is not over yet...what else is missing?
Countless memories. Countless achievements. One after another are being made as time itself flows. Happiness. Sadness. Love. Hate. So many events filled with so many emotions & beliefs. But all living beings share one thing: Determination. With it, they chose to keep going and refuse to give up on their goals.
There, one in particular. One who's truly unconventional. His determination is so strong that not even the strongest and most deadliest of challenges awaits him able to stop him. The latter is somewhat an odd one so to speak as he went from carefree to aloof. Nevertheless, he moves forward, held up his head high & always lend a hand to those in need.
Okay enough of that philosophy talk. Let's head back to the last moment LOL.
Hou: Impact!!! Deity Creations....
Garga: Fangflare!!!
Both: GARGANTUA....PUNISHER!!!
Vanity End Destroyer was struck down!!! The new punisher slowly disappears. And the two buddies slowly gets back up and stare at their foes with a serious gaze. The stage disappears and...
Ion: UNBELIEVABLE. THE WINNERS OF THIS YEARS ACE BUDDYFIGHTER PLAYOFFS ARE...HOU REN & GARGA!!!
Hou & Garga: (Jumping from Joy) ALRIGHT!!!
Gar Trio: (Jumping from Joy) WE WON!!!
The Crowd cheers out loud.
Masato: FOR SHARE!!!
Agito: He pulled it off.
Daryl: Truly, he is...
Cross: The Ace of Games!!!
Gwen: (In happy tears) Way to Go, Hou. You too Garga.
Amaterasu: You worked so hard. Congratulations!!!
Gavrail: (In happy tears) He really pierced through the heavens didn't he?
Eden: (In Happy Tears) I know...I'm so proud.
The rest of the crowd cheers. Tasuku & Jack clap their hands in rounds of applause. Hou's Mother is also in happy tears. Even Hou's Father, who watched from overseas is also happy for him.
Hou: BEST DAY (Jumps Up High) EVER!!!!
Garga: Marvelous work, My Buddy. Well Done!!!
Hou: Thanks Garga. You guys did well too.
Garcat: It was nothing.
Garbird: We are number one.
Gardog: I didn't show up but I don't mind.
While all of this is going on, Hou then notices Vile Ranma watching them in sad smiles. He then give a thumbs up and Hou responds the same way. Garga watches them with a proud smile.
Garga: Finally...their friendship...has reborn...anew.
Garga watches his buddy waving to the crowd with smiles in sadness. Later, outcomes the victory ceremony. Everyone is gathered outside and Tasuku carries a microphone, standing alongside, Hou, Garga & The Gar Trio on the podium.
Tasuku: The Ace Buddyfighter Playoffs have come to a close. We've seen many great battles and one has emerged victorious. Thus, by the Power Vested in Me as the sponsor of the tournament, I declare...Mr Teng Hou Ren, Deity Gargantua Dragon & The Gar Trio as bonus...as the "Ace Buddyfighters".
Ion & Tako flies in and hands the trophy.
Tako: Viva.
Ion: Congrats, Hou-kins.
Hou: (Accepts the trophy) What's with the nickname? And thanks...it means a lot.
Garga: Indeed. We accept with gratitude.
The crowd cheers once again. Everyone has gathered. Hou's friends, His opponents, Their buddies, even Ranma's Allies congratulated him. Confetti & balloons are even shot everywhere. The five look at them with all smiles.
Garga: Looks like everyone came to support us.
Hou: Yeah...this is awesome.
Meanwhile, Vile Ranma, who's standing very far away, watches in a sad smile again, walks away without looking back. He thinks to himself, "You deserve it". Sunset arrives & everyone gathers at Gwen's Cafe. Everyone is having a party. Food & Drinks are placed on tables. However...
Daryl: (Walks in with orange juice on his hand) He's not here...
Cross: Sorry Hou.
Hou: I see...
Garga: Guess he needs time to cope.
Eden: (Walks in) Don't worry.
Hou: Hmm?
Eden: After everything that's happened, Mr Ranma Kakogawa will return to you before you know it.
Gavrail: I think so as well.
Then Gwen & Amaterasu, comes in with plates of Pizza.
Gwen: Thanks for waiting everyone!!!
Amaterasu: In honor of Hou's victory, please enjoy our delicious pizza. On the House!!!
All: Yay!!!
Hou: Sweet Timing. Garga...Huh?
However, Garga walks away from the restaurant.
Hou: Wait...
The Gar Trio suddenly come up and stop him in a nervous mood.
Gardog: Hold on Hou.
Hou: What? But...
Garcat: Yeah yeah, hold on a sec. I think it's best that you leave him to what he's doing.
Garbird: Besides, we want an interview with you. You won the playoffs after all.
Gardog: Yeah, it won't take long. Relax.
Hou: O...kay? [How strange...]
Suddenly, Night time arrives. Outside, Vile Ranma's base, Many Buddy Police Cars land. The sirens are off the roof, the officers are armed and ready. Tasuku comes out of his car. And unbeknownst to them, Light & Abygale are watching them from a tree???? P.S. Abygale has his black hole on.
Abygale: Aren't you gonna say Hi to them?
Light: No. I don't want to be in their way. I want to see how this ends for myself.
Then Garga floats in beside Tasuku.
Tasuku: He's in there. Don't let him escape.
Garga nods and goes inside the base. Inside, Destroyer (only in floating flaming skull form), did not look back as Garga enters.
Garga: The Buddy Police has designated you as an illegal monster.
Destroyer: (Turns around) {Sarcastic} Really? And you expect me to atone for my sins?
Garga: You must surrender peacefully. If not, I will not hesitate and battle you in the far reaches of space and time. However, I wish to avoid that. Please, Destroyer.
Destroyer: How foolish. Humans love conflict. It's in their nature. At this very moment, somewhere there are people hating one another, hurting them. Even without my doing, they still continue to do so. Eventually, even Earth will follow the same path as Lost World.
Garga: So you're saying that hurting, hating and everything else that's bad is normal.
Destroyer: Precisely. I will obtain limitless power by then and I will soon get revenge on the deities that attempt to seal me away.
Garga: I disagree. While it's true like you said, Humans do have desires. But...they can use their desires to help create bonds by enjoying life together. They fight, they hate, but they always forgive and love one another. You may not understand it, but this is the world that I want to live in.
Suddenly, Ranma's voice calls out to him.
Vile Ranma: Destroyer!!!
Garga: And deep down, you know what is said to be true.
Outside, Vile Ranma was being held by Tasuku & another Officer while calling out.
Vile Ranma: DESTROYER!!!
Officer: Stop Resisting!!!
Tasuku: We believe you're an accessory to what may have been the destruction of Helping Hand's Stage.
Destroyer: WAIT.
All: Huh?
Destroyer: Leave Vile Ranma out of this. I alone destroyed the stage. Not Him.
Officer: D-Destroyer...
Destroyer: Ranma. I hereby terminate our buddy contract.
Vile Ranma: {Shocked} No It's Not True. I will not (breaks free & runs) Accept That!!!
Tasuku: RANMA NO!!!
Vile Ranma runs forward without hesitation and looking back. He reaches him.
Vile Ranma: DON'T GO!!!
But suddenly, he's spun in a LOST tornado. The tornado moves back to Tasuku's side. Everyone stands guard but to their surprise, Ranma comes out in his casual clothes, completely stripped of his powers and title. Tasuku then catches him as he runs forward.
Destroyer: And then there's this.
Destroyer opens his mouth and outcomes a giant molten BALL???? The Ball rolls forward and destroys itself and outcomes...DA DAN????? He's completely unscathed.
Abygale: Say what?
Light: Da Dan? What in the...what?
Da Dan: (Slowly wakes up) (Realizes in shock) Wh Wh What??? WHERE AM I? WHERE HAVE I BEEN ALL THIS (Turns around in shock) OH NO....(Runs away) SAVE ME!!!!
Tasuku watches him run with confusion.
Destroyer: I bid you farewell, Ranma. (Turns back to his card)
The card then lands on Ranma's hands.
Destroyer: Return...to your friend.
Ranma: Destroyer....
Ranma sniffles and cries as he carries Destroyer's Card very tight. Everyone watches it feels sorry for him.
The days returns to normal. Everyone is enjoying their school lives here and there. Hou then packs his bag when school ends. His friends then walk up to him.
Masato: Hey Hou. You want to go to Busters after this?
Hou: Sorry. I can't.
Masato: Why not? You have plans already?
Hou: Yep. I planned to meet to someone after school. (Looks at his phone) Speaking of which, Gotta Go. Bye. (Runs off)
Masato: H-Hey Wait. (happy sigh) He's eager isn't he?
Daryl: I can't blame him. After all, his wish finally came true.
Hou runs off while holding something in his hand. He runs off to the park and when reached, he pants as he feels exhausted.
Hou: Sorry I'm late.
???: Took you long enough.
Before him, someone waits for him. I think you all know who it is. The person turns around in smiles. Hou feels very delighted to see him.
Hou: Ranma...
They both sit down on a bench looking at the beautiful scenery before them.
Hou: It's been awhile huh...
Ranma: Yeah...
Hou: So you moved back in or...
Ranma: Not really. Let's just say now that my base is like "hijacked", I'm moving my stuff back to my hometown.
Hou: That is moving back in dude...
Ranma: Hey...(sigh) I'm just glad you beat me.
Hou: Yeah?
Ranma: Because otherwise I wouldn't be like this now wouldn't I?
Hou: True..(realized) wait...what do you mean Hijacked?
Ranma: The Buddy Police...After all, Destroyer, the stage, even when you & Daryl intrude my base remember? They took Destroyer away and they confiscated the remains of the base on the inside.
Hou: Oh...
Ranma: {Sad} I'm gonna miss him...he's my first and my only buddy...
Hou: I'm very sorry for your loss. He's a good buddy nonetheless after everything that's happened.
Ranma: (Nods) Thanks...you don't have to be nice to me after everything I've done.
Hou: Don't say that, everyone deserves kindness...you know...you could have won that day.
Ranma: {Curious} What do you mean?
Hou: Well...during your last turn before I unleashed Fangflare...you could have attacked me with Vanity End Destroyer first.
Ranma: What are you...(realizes) Oh...If I attacked with Vanity End Destroyer, even though the critical is reduced & Vanity Husk is on Rest, I could have...
Both: finished me / you off with the last two attacks.
Ranma: But wait...when you drew a card with Double Down...what did you drew?
Hou: It was Garga himself....
Ranma: (In Regret & In Anger) AWW MAN....I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT....DANG IT....I MESSED UP...GRRR....
Hou: Yeah...This is awkward...
Then suddenly Ranma notices something beside his friend.
Ranma: What's that beside you?
Hou: Oh that? (Hands him the box) You should see for yourself.
Ranma opens the box and it reveals itself as a Banana Pineapple Birthday Cake. He's really surprised.
Ranma: Is that?
Hou: Something for your birthday. Baked it myself. Like always.
Ranma: (Takes the cake) You...I thought...
Hou: You're my best friend. Why would I not do it for you?
Hearing it, Ranma suddenly cries with happy tears and the latter puts the cake away and hugs him.
Ranma: Thank you so much.
Hou: (hugs back) You're welcome. And Happy Birthday, my friend.
And thus outcomes the happy ending. However, the story is not over yet as we move to the Buddy Police Prison. In that prison, it is where all Illegal Monsters and other buddyfight criminals are contained there. It has already been a few days and one monster has served his sentence as he walks out the door.
Officer: Well done on serving your sentence. I better not see you again in this prison.
Destroyer: You have been good to me.
Officer: Well then, see you. (Closes the door)
Destroyer: Now then...what should I do? (Spots something) Huh?
Then suddenly, Ranma appears.
Destroyer: Ranma?
Ranma: (Runs forward) You are my Buddy Destroyer. Even though I was used. Even though you are evil. You are still my buddy nonetheless. I care for you.
Destroyer: Ranma...Up until now, I never thought I would receive such kindness...Very well, I shall be your buddy once again.
And then...
Both: Whaddup Pals!!!
Ranma: Hey Guys. It's Me. I'm back on the channel.
Hou: And as a special occasion, today...
Garga: (Appears) We're gonna hold a special exhibition fight between the two Aces of Games.
Ranma: (Psyched) You won't beat Me.
Hou: (Psyched) Back at you, Pal.
As the match is being broadcasted live, Hou's friends watch the video at Gwen's Cafe with smiles.
Daryl: I'm so glad. They're back together again.
Cross: You know Daryl. I sometimes wonder why you are so interested in their channel.
Masato: For Share. They're playing nice out there.
Agito: Now I want to fight too.
Gwen: Maybe we should have a day off tommorow?
Amaterasu: Indeed. I haven't had a buddyfight in a long while as well. I don't want to get sloppy =).
The aftermath.
Ranma: YES. I WON.
Hou: Dang it...I should have defended better...
Ranma: Don't feel bad. It's all thanks to the advice you gave me.
Hou: Not Helping Man.
Ranma: I told you. When it comes to buddyfight, I have more experience.
Hou: You got me. (To the camera) Well guys, that's it for the exhibition match. Don't forget to...
Both: Check Us Out.
The two Aces & their buddies alongside the Gar Trio waves goodbye on camera. Well Minus Destroyer because it has no arms. Then suddenly, Hou questions Garga about something at their house.
Hou: Uh...Garga...what's this video here?
Garga: Oh About that...I didn't think it was kind of soon for you to find out...
Ranma: What's it about?
Garga: Well....
It appears the video their talking about is the goodbye video Garga made for Hou...
Garga: To be honest, you are a really an extraordinary human. I didn't want you to bear the burden of sacrificing yourself for the sake of humanity. Even after I told you about Destroyer's Origins, I cannot lose you as my precious buddy. That's why I decided to make this video so that when I'm gone to battle Destroyer, you won't feel sad or lonely.
Hou: Bearing the burden huh? None of that matters. We're buddies till the end. If any bad villain whatsoever get in our way, I will be by your side to stop them.
Ranma: Same here. And yeah, sorry about my buddy's actions.
Destroyer: I deeply apologize as well...I will also fight alongside if necessary.
Garga: You guys...I'm so glad I met you all. Thank you for everything...Partner.
They both fist bump. Meanwhile...somewhere in an Egyptian-like country...a young prince is watching the Whaddup Pals's livestream that's been broadcasted by his servants. He is in deep bore while sitting on his throne. Soon enough, he stands up.
???: Get Ready. We're travelling to Malaysia soon.
Servant 1: Say What?
Servant 2: The young prince wish to travel???
???: That's right. I want to see for myself what the Ace of Games is capable of. Seeing that he is the Ace Buddyfighter.
Suddenly, two monsters, clouded in shade, appear behind him. The young prince stands with grand.
????: Finally. Soon, Our Battle...will be Legendary.
Then at school, a male student in a white president suit is staring out the window. He has cyan hair, white jacket, blue shirt and a red tie. He also has a clockAnother student comes to his office and deliver some sort of report.
????: Thank you, you may leave now.
The student leaves and the other latter feels very impressed.
????: The world is expanding and so should this school. It's time to change it's outlook and time is money.
The latter picks up the report and reveals that Hou's in there????
???: Perhaps I should enlist the Ace of games too in this project. This will be interesting wouldn't it?
And now at KLIA Airport...a young man wearing a large straw hat and even red shirt and cape while carrying a sack walks across the area.
???: It's been awhile since I came to Malaysia ever since my tour...it's really fascinating as always.
He picks up a newspaper and reads the current headline.
???: So he's the current best fighter in Malaysia huh? I heard Tasuku moved to this country to handle this country's Buddy Police Branch but to never tell me about this strong fighter as well? How could he hide such a thing from me. What a tease.
Fun fact: In this timeline, Gaito at some point went to Malaysia during travelling around the world to find strong fighters. He met a lovely woman at Malaysia and thus Light was born. Currently, Gaito is in the United States to handle some investigations and his wife is mostly out for work lately. That's why Light is mostly quite independent in his days.
Unknown Buddy: That small fry even posses that Gargantua Punisher. You really shouldn't have lost it but that squirt handles it like a pro...
???: Eh who cares...
The monster transforms huge and thunder sparks around the two. I think you all know who it is at this point.
Gao: I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HE'S REALLY CAPABLE OF. THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN.
Story End.
Writer: And that's it for this story. I know this fanfic season is not really entertaining as I told you is similar to the original first season of Buddyfight Ace. But I don't care, I just want to like do some lore building, that's it. The hard part is that in Path To Liberation, I cannot disclose a bunch of hidden lore. Thus in this fanfic season, I sort of decide to fill some missing parts (Not All).
The reason why I wrote Path To Liberation first before this season is sort of stupid but...back then, I was overwhelmed with conflict. And the idea of writing a buddyfight fanfiction has been a long time coming. So I decided to channel my pain from those conflicts into writing Path To Liberation. And at the same time, I was worried that I might forget about the idea so...
Also, it is quite difficult to write this story as it is like well a temu version of the original Buddyfight Ace. I tried my best to not fully copy it and yeah...it's quite a challenge. Therefore, I apologize in advance. Nevertheless, thank you for your time when reading this fanfiction. Season 2 and 3 are coming soon. Once that's done, The Draknights will have their own solo chapters. Lost Ren will have his solo story and...yeah that's about it.
