Seeing so many fresh bamboo shoots, Eric thought for a moment and told Sam and Kevin to peel some and cut them into small pieces.
"Why not put it directly into the grinder to mince? Cutting like this is too troublesome," Sam complained while cutting.
"Diced bamboo shoots make better buns; grinding in the machine won't give that texture," Eric explained. The taste of food was sometimes related to the shape, just like hand-shredded potatoes tasted better than grated ones, and hand-torn cabbage tasted better than knife-cut cabbage.
"Alright then."
For the sake of the flavor of the dish, Sam, a famous gourmet, had to endure and silently cut the bamboo shoots.
Arthur squatted beside Eric like a puppy, sniffing the bamboo shoot meat filling he had just mixed, and said happily: "Smells so good, are we going to eat buns soon?"
