Chapter 66 - The Potential Of A Glutton

After many days of observation, Eric had estimated the appetite of the Snow Wolf people.

In human form, an adult beastman could eat about one hundred to two hundred kilograms of meat, while in beast form, they needed five to six hundred kilograms.

A healthy cub like Leo now also ate about twenty kilograms.

Seeing this scene, Eric once again felt that the beastmen's difficulty in reproducing was truly a gift from creation.

Their appetite was as great as their strength, beyond imagination.

He secretly felt lucky that he had transmigrated as a beastman. If he were an ordinary human, he feared that even encountering a rabbit here would be enough to end his life.

"Let Sam go help too. This afternoon, don't let him go to training; have him wash the organs." Michael suggested seriously.

Eric snorted viciously in his mind.

He did have this intention; he had to smoke Sam out properly to get revenge for the sledgehammer blow from the other day.

Sam intended to protest, but seeing that everyone showed their approval, even the patriarch nodding in agreement, he could only dejectedly shovel meat into his mouth, trying to compensate for his wounded heart.

After the meal, Max led the warriors to transport all the remaining organs to the riverbank.

He also brought Eric the promised violent fire-horned goat, which had been skinned and cut into pieces, piled up there like a small mountain of meat.

Eric walked around to observe, estimating that this goat, when alive, was even larger than an African elephant.

Having been here for so long, he still couldn't help but be astonished every time he saw the size of these animals.

Eric led Jessica and Iris to dig a few more large pits, lining the inside with stones and bricks just like the last time.

After transporting the organs, the warriors went to train, and only Sam was held back.

Strangely enough, Sam easily lost control of his strength when doing other things, but when it came to preparing food, he was quite adept.

He scrubbed and washed the organs without tearing any part, a truly innate talent of a glutton.

With many hands, the work of washing the organs became much simpler. Everyone quickly learned the process and then shooed Eric, a cub, away to rest elsewhere.

Seeing them working so neatly, he didn't insist on staying.

He called over a few skilled Dwarf women, telling them that today they would try eating at the communal kitchen and preparing the organs.

They understood the matter of the kitchen, but regarding eating organs, they were a bit curious and unaccustomed. In the human world, only truly poor families would eat such things.

However, considering the skills Eric had previously shown, they followed him to the kitchen without a trace of doubt.

After the organs were cleaned and brought over, Eric began to cook.

He sliced the heart, liver, and lungs into small pieces, and cut the intestines into short sections to absorb the flavors easily. This time, he decided to cook the broth first.

He sautéed onions and garlic until fragrant, added water and various spices, and simmered for half an hour to bring out the aroma.

Next, he used his small iron pot to teach everyone how to make caramelized sugar water. This was a task that required technique.

Eric didn't have rock sugar and had always used white sugar. He patiently instructed:

"Use only a little oil, but make sure the edges of the pot are coated... Don't stop stirring, keep it constant... This is the state, quickly add water from the edge of the pot, don't be slow, or the oil will splash on your face."

A Dwarf woman named Marilin was the first to try. After a moment of fumbling, she finally finished a pot of caramelized sugar water.

Seeing her succeed, the others also felt that it didn't seem so difficult, and they were all eager to try.

Even Sam, whom Eric thought would be the slowest, succeeded quickly, his skills catching up to even Jessica's.

The caramelized sugar water was poured into the several pots of simmering broth, and then the organs were added to separate pots to stew. With the amount of organs that day, they filled five large iron pots, and the fragrance truly traveled for ten miles.

Eric took out the goat's book tripe separately, minced some goat meat, seasoned it, then stuffed it inside, using a hemp cord to tie the opening shut.

A head-sized dish of meat-stuffed stomach was complete, taking up an entire large iron pot.

Everyone was very curious about his novel method, their eyes full of anticipation as they stared at the large pots emitting a rich aroma.
