Chapter 55 - Deadly Fog

I swallowed that guess back down.

Any uncertain words would affect our already fragile nerves.

Khang wearily rubbed the bridge of his nose. He looked at me without speaking, just nodding.

Our guesses were the same; perhaps some unknown force had changed our route.

Thinking of this, I suddenly realized the heavy fog Khang had mentioned; the turning point of the event was right after the fog.

It seemed that fog, which had appeared and vanished inexplicably, was the key.

After that, we found a semi-exposed cave that could relatively shelter us from wind and rain, and set up camp on the spot.

This cave was quite hidden. Outside were tall, dense thickets; vines and the wide branches and leaves of trees obscured most of the cave entrance.

The off-road vehicles were parked not far away, roughly camouflaged with vines.

Currently, there was temporarily no better way than to stop where we were.

We planned to rest for the morning, then split into groups to scout the path again.
