Chapter 46 - Sprouts of Life After the Rain

I patted Khang's butt and said seriously:

"Excellent coordination."

The body under my hand trembled. Khang nudged me with the back of his neck.

I had a feeling he'd just glared at me, but I couldn't see clearly.

Carrying an extra person wasn't too draining for me.

"Hold on tight."

I said into Khang's pale ears.

His spine shivered slightly.

Khang was trembling a lot today; he must be cold.

I sped up the process of pulling the boot out. Going out to scout today wasn't a good decision; we'd have to wait at least another half-day before the truck could move.

Khang and I carried the boot home without much difficulty.

To be more precise, Khang walked half the way, and I carried him the other half.

But for someone who lived in the city, he had done very well.

In the courtyard, Khang mixed hot water, and the two of us washed the mud off our bodies.

After washing his face, Khang suddenly rushed over for some reason, splashing water on the white T-shirt I had just changed into.
