"There's nothing to bury," Damien said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "And yeah, I believe Fred will be excited about this news. He's about to become a star."
Andrew hummed softly, clearly unconvinced. He stepped closer, raising a brow as a slow, seductive smile curved his lips.
"Alright then," Andrew drawled lazily. "Anyway… do you care for a drink? Just me and you?" His gaze lingered deliberately on Damien's face. "At least you could use that to appreciate me."
Damien rolled his eyes in open disdain, shifting the basket to his other hand.
"It's too early to have alcohol, Andrew," he replied flatly. "And besides, I need to get home quickly."
"It's not too early," Andrew countered with a dramatic sigh, running a hand through his hair. "I just need a drinking buddy and that's you." His voice softened slightly. "It's been so long since we sat down to talk and drink together. You cut all ties with me, Damien. Now you're back because of your friend."
