Felicia kept her eyes glued to her plate, hoping Armand would stop staring. He didn't. His gaze lingered a little too long, making her feel exposed, small. She forced herself to focus on her food, stabbing at her scrambled eggs like it could protect her from him.
Leo, sitting across from her, tilted his head and smirked. "So… where did Alaric and Armand disappear to last night? Everyone's talking, and yet you two vanished."
Alaric waved his hand dismissively. "Something came up. Nothing major."
Leo raised his brows and nodded, clearly buying it.
There was a quiet pause before Alaric leaned back in his chair. "Wait… so Athena didn't come to school today?"
Leo blinked, then said, "You don't know? Athena… she was drugged last night."
Alaric nearly shot up from his chair. "What?!"
He froze when he realized he'd drawn attention, slowly sitting back down, eyes darkening.
Leo continued, his voice calm but sharp. "And… Eryx… he made out with her."
