After my brief interaction with Lumina I decided to get comfy in my bed for the night. I close my eyes and begin to drift off.
(Within one of the conference rooms of the tower.) Celeste Flux's POV.
I can hear the door open up from across the room, Lumina finally seems to be joining us for this strange meeting. Around the room there are multiple heroes seated at the giant table.
Silver Neko, Astal, Shard step, Eto from the commission, Zero, Lumina, and me of course. That's what I thought until I finally saw him enter the room.
Wearing an all black costume with a white and silver like wolf mask covering his face, even his gauntlets were the same white and silver. He definitely has the build of a hero... He's muscular I guess is the better term.
Frost. I didn't expect him to be joining us here since he has been incredibly busy the last few months with a big mission. Villains are on the rise more and more as the days go on.
We haven't been able to track them down yet but the villain organization behind a lot of the bigger attacks has been evading us quite well.
"Seems the important people are here for now or most are here." Eto speaks up with a serious tone.
"Dark doesn't seem to be here. Kind of odd." Frost chimes in with a bit of concern.
"I'm shocked you made it. Let's cut him some slack for the time being." Eto responds.
Dark... I completely forgot about him for a moment there since he's also been busy the last few months. Being ranked #4 is a pretty big deal and requires a lot of power.
"So what exactly is this meeting about?" Astal asks with a curious tone.
His purple and black costume sticks out the most amongst us here... Astal. But at least he is pretty good at his job as well.
"I've brought a new hero into the tower today. The reason this is important is because he said that luck is part of his powers. I have never heard of such a thing before and think that he'll be riding through the ranks in no time." Eto says with a serious, yet confident tone.
"Saito. I didn't think you had that much faith in him already." I reply with a bit of a surprised tone in my voice.
"Silver Neko gave me a brief on what happened with the fight. He helped out quite a bit and was even able to gain more speed during the fight." Eto says while crossing his arms.
Saito really is a rare hero to see in the streets like that. One that jumps in to help and who can improve as the fight goes on. I've never heard of anything like that before so it is quite interesting.
He'll definitely be a pretty powerful hero in the long run. It'll just be a bit interesting to see how strong he becomes.
Nobody like that has been around in a long time, not someone who can get stronger during the fight. That alone is a huge win for us if we can keep him within the commission.
"Luck, Strength, Speed. That's what is written down on the notes about him. That is quite an interesting combo, but luck has never once been confirmed as a real power." Frost speaks up.
"That's the exact reason we need to keep an eye on him. You don't know how strong luck can really be." Eto responds, keeping his serious tone.
Lumina shifts her attention slightly towards me as she looks like she is about to speak. "I don't mind working closely with him for the time being. He seems like he'll be a kind person so I'd happily volunteer." Lumina says with a soft, kind tone.
"Anyone opposed?" Eto asks while looking throughout the room.
Nobody seems to be raising their hand against this... I would but I don't have the time to work with him like that. It would've been nice to get away from all the solo missions.
"It's settled then. Lumina will be working with Saito until further notice." Eto says as the room remains silent.
Eto dismissed me after that and the rest of them remained in the room. So I made my way back to my room on the 3rd floor of the tower.
He always dismisses me at a certain point during those meetings and I don't understand why. I'm ranked at #3 for gods sake.
Why the hell do I get sent back so damn much?
I took my costume off and got comfortable clothes on. Sweatpants, a tank top, and I let my hair go a bit more. Looking in the mirror I could see the green disappear from my eyes as the red starts to reappear.
If the red showed, no one would think I'm this amazing hero anymore. They would think I'm some demon or monster that's planning to take over the world.
Eto told me not to worry about these eyes since I can mask them with my power but it still worries me. There's no explanation to why I have them...
Not one that the commission has been able to provide me with at least.
Ughhhh.
(Everything fades away as the next day arrives.) Saito's POV.
I woke up to the sound of the alarm next to my bed, it gave me a bit of a heart attack. I've never really been the greatest with alarms but there's so much to get done.
Getting stronger is the biggest goal I need to accomplish right now. How else am I going to do anything in the future?
~That sounds like a hero to me. We should get you into tip top shape. ୧(＾ 〰 ＾)୨.
So what is the best way to do that besides boosting my stats? Is there anything I can do to get stronger?
