Leo already knew that hiding things from monstrous beings like professors was worthless.
But even before Leo could say anything, Katherine spoke.
"Hubby was right, you are indeed a tough nut," Katherine remarked as she observed Leo closely.
"Even when a professor is right in front of you, you are thinking of ways to lie." Then she continued.
"Let me guess, you people tried taming the spirit called from the hydra core that Lily received as a reward, and you failed."
Leo was shocked that Katherine could tell that.
If she can say this much in our first meeting without me saying anything, then wouldn't Professor Brant already know I was saying half-truths all along? Damn... I was really on borrowed time. Wait... I am still on borrowed time.
"Yes, that would be correct," Leo replied evenly. There was nothing to hide.
