Chapter 168 - No Other Skills—But They’re Experts at Fighting Among Themselves

Dai Mubai was carried away first to receive treatment.

When dealing with people from Shrek Academy, there were three principles to follow:

Fast. Accurate. Ruthless.

Zhou Sidong did not hold back in the slightest. His strikes were fast, his targeting precise, and his follow-through merciless. As a result, Dai Mubai was severely injured. The instant he crashed into Yu Xiaogang, his head tilted to the side and he passed out on the spot.

As for Yu Xiaogang, he looked as if nothing had happened. Supported once again by Liu Erlong and the others, he was placed back onto the hospital bed. His eyes, filled with venomous hatred, were now locked tightly onto Zhou Sidong.

"Zhou Sidong! I, Yu Xiaogang, am not finished with you! Who's next?! Get up there and teach him a lesson!"

Yu Xiaogang suddenly turned toward Ma Hongjun, Xiao Wu, and the others, urging them impatiently.

Dai Mubai's performance had left Yu Xiaogang deeply disappointed. The battle had lasted less than a minute, yet Dai Mubai was not only badly injured but had also been kicked around like a ball and smashed into Yu Xiaogang himself. It was an absolute humiliation for Shrek Academy.

Ma Hongjun stepped forward with half a foot—then immediately pulled it back.

He regretted it. He didn't want to fight anymore.

Seeing their boss get effortlessly crushed, Ma Hongjun didn't believe for a second that he could defeat Zhou Sidong, let alone drain his soul power or stamina. That was nothing but wishful thinking.

"Who's the next one from Shrek Academy coming up to die? Hurry up! Let's get this over with!"

Zhou Sidong stood on the arena with his hands on his hips, shouting toward Shrek Academy's section.

At that moment, everyone's gaze turned to Ma Hongjun.

"Fatty, you're next," Tang San said expressionlessly.

Ma Hongjun shuddered, his legs instantly going weak. He was great at shouting insults from behind Dai Mubai and Tang San, but actually fighting Zhou Sidong? Absolutely not.

"Ma Hongjun, go up," Yu Xiaogang said, staring intensely at him. "Remember this—no matter what, you must exhaust Zhou Sidong's soul power and stamina. Fighting several of you in a row will definitely wear him down. Mubai was careless and reckless. Not only did he fail his mission, he even got used by Zhou Sidong. That hurt me badly!"

"Hurt? Why didn't it just hurt you to death?" Ma Hongjun cursed inwardly. But with Tang San present, he didn't dare say it out loud.

Under everyone's urging, Ma Hongjun was pushed onto the arena like a duck forced onto a perch.

"Ten seconds," Zhou Sidong said calmly.

"Ten seconds?" Ma Hongjun froze.

Just as three soul rings lit up beneath his feet and fiery phoenix wings flared behind his back—right as he was about to take to the air—

In the blink of an eye, Zhou Sidong flashed in front of him.

His right hand clenched into a fist and slammed brutally into Ma Hongjun's abdomen.

A soul-crushing pain exploded through Ma Hongjun's body. His fat quivered violently, bile sprayed from his mouth, and his beady eyes bulged wide.

That punch landed squarely. Ma Hongjun's body shot backward like a cannonball, crashing straight into Yu Xiaogang, who had only just been placed back onto his bed. Yu Xiaogang was instantly sent reeling, stars dancing in his vision.

"Teacher!"

"Xiaogang!"

Tang San and Liu Erlong panicked.

Not only were they shocked by Ma Hongjun's defeat—it had taken less than five seconds—but now Ma Hongjun's pig-like body was crushing Yu Xiaogang beneath it. Yu Xiaogang couldn't even breathe properly, several ribs snapping under the weight.

The poor man was utterly miserable.

"This time he should be dead, right?"

Standing on the arena, Zhou Sidong clapped his hands and looked toward the overturned Yu Xiaogang. Though he couldn't personally step down to beat Yu Xiaogang, this method was unexpectedly creative.

"Your Majesty, I accuse Zhou Sidong! He did this on purpose—this was deliberate! I request that Zhou Sidong be stripped of his competition qualifications!"

Liu Erlong gripped the iron railing with both hands. Unable to withstand her strength, the railing crumbled into powder. Blue dragon flames surged from her body, as fierce as her raging anger.

Emperor Xue Ye glanced indifferently at the overturned Yu Xiaogang and said nothing more.

Even as an outsider, he couldn't stand Yu Xiaogang's behavior. If Zhou Sidong did it, then so be it. As long as Yu Xiaogang wasn't dead, there was still room to smooth things over.

"Don't do this again," Emperor Xue Ye said, looking toward Zhou Sidong on the arena.

"Thank you, Your Majesty," Zhou Sidong replied with a respectful salute.

Then he turned to Shrek Academy's group, who looked as if they wanted to devour him alive, and smiled.

"Who's next?"

He curled his finger provocatively.

Tang San's anger surged even higher. He desperately wanted to rush up and fight Zhou Sidong for three hundred rounds—but the plan could not be disrupted. Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun's roles were to wear Zhou Sidong down. Until that goal was achieved, Tang San could not act rashly.

"Who's next?" Yu Xiaogang shouted again.

Supported once more by Liu Erlong, Yu Xiaogang was placed back onto the bed. Having suffered twice already, Liu Erlong deliberately moved the bed farther back to prevent another incident.

Ma Hongjun's excessive weight slamming down had nearly cost Yu Xiaogang half his life.

"Who's next?! Get up there!"

Yu Xiaogang's throat was hoarse, his face flushed red. Nearly insane, he looked like a rabid dog, staring at the group of students who dared not lift their heads. Hatred burned in his heart at their weakness.

"Next should be Jing Ling," Huang Yuan reminded him.

"No, it should be you, Huang Yuan. I believe in you," Jing Ling said immediately.

The two pushed each other back and forth, neither willing to step up.

The miserable states of Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun were still vivid in their minds. No one wanted to be the next one.

With no other choice, Jing Ling accepted reality and slowly walked onto the arena with heavy steps.

Recalling Yu Xiaogang's instructions earlier, Jing Ling couldn't help rolling his eyes.

"Jing Ling, remember this—you must buy time for Xiao San. Exhaust Zhou Sidong as much as possible so Xiao San has a chance to defeat him."

"But… I can't even beat Ma Hongjun," Jing Ling had replied weakly. "Facing Zhou Sidong, I'm afraid I—"

His face darkened. He had no confidence at all.

"What, Jing Ling? Don't tell me you're scared?" Yu Xiaogang sneered disdainfully.

Provoked and then thoroughly brainwashed by Yu Xiaogang, Jing Ling was sent onto the arena in a daze.

"Enough. Jing Ling, you're our hope now. Mubai and Hongjun failed, but you can succeed. Don't even think about defeating Zhou Sidong—just stall him. Remember one thing: drag it out."

Now, standing on the arena, Jing Ling clenched his fists, recalling everything with deep frustration toward Yu Xiaogang.

"This is over," Jing Ling sighed deeply.

Once on the arena, there was no retreat.

Two yellow and one purple soul rings appeared beneath his feet as his hands transformed into twin bone blades.

Just as Jing Ling was about to think of a way to stall for time—

Zhou Sidong went all out instantly,不给 him even a second to breathe, smashing him down with a single punch.

Because of Emperor Xue Ye's warning, Zhou Sidong did not send Jing Ling flying toward Yu Xiaogang this time, instead knocking him straight off the arena.

Jing Ling's abdomen burned like fire as pain flooded his entire body.

"Jing Ling! Get up! Get up!" Yu Xiaogang shouted.

Jing Ling rolled his eyes at him weakly. Being knocked off the arena meant disqualification.

Even if he still had some strength left, he couldn't continue.

This wasn't just a gap in power—it was an insurmountable chasm.

Exhausted, Jing Ling's head drooped, eyes rolling back as he followed in the footsteps of Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai.

Seeing this, Yu Xiaogang erupted in rage, muttering nonstop:

"Trash! All trash!"

"Who's next?!"

Yu Xiaogang's voice was like a death summons.

Before Huang Yuan even stepped onto the arena, he looked up and met Yu Xiaogang's gaze—and read one word in his eyes:

Madness.

Yu Xiaogang's obsession with victory, combined with his dissatisfaction with Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, and Jing Ling's rapid defeats, was spiraling out of control.

At this rate, Shrek Academy was doomed.

Not only would they fail to defeat Zhou Sidong—they would become the laughingstock of Heaven Dou City.

Seeing Shrek Academy hesitate to send anyone up, the host urged impatiently:

"Shrek Academy, please send a contestant immediately, or this will be considered a forfeit."

This was the last match of the day. The host just wanted to clock out early.

"Just forfeit already!"

"Hurry up and surrender—losing to Zhou Sidong isn't shameful!"

"If there's any shame, it's all on Yu Xiaogang!"

With three consecutive defeats, the crowd went into full mockery mode.

Watching the chaos unfold was far more entertaining.

"Huang Yuan! Get up there, now!" Yu Xiaogang screamed.

"Xiaogang, you're going too far!"

At that moment, Flender finally stepped forward.

"Flender! Aren't these people going too far with what they're saying?" Liu Erlong immediately followed, the two echoing each other.

"I'm not deaf," Flender replied coldly. "But I won't allow a madman to give orders here."

He didn't hold back at all, glancing sideways at Yu Xiaogang.

In his eyes, Yu Xiaogang was nothing but a lunatic.

His obsession with victory had completely destroyed his sanity.

"Flender! You're insulting me indirectly! I, Yu Xiaogang, will be enemies with you forever!"

Yu Xiaogang roared, his expression even more deranged.

"You want to be enemies with me? You useless Grand Soul Master—serves you right to get beaten into this state!"

Once close brothers, now practically sworn enemies.

"So they've started fighting among themselves."

Zhou Sidong looked on like he was watching a play, shaking his head.

"Are we fighting or not? If not, hurry up and get off—I want to clock out."
