Grey smiled as he continued, "One is force, the other is words. Make your choice."
"…Gym Leader Grey, I just gifted you a Governor! That's 20,000, you know?!"
Archer still wasn't ready to give up. He'd clearly subscribed as a Governor—so why was Grey still treating him like he couldn't wait to deal with him?
"It's because you gifted a Governor that I'm giving you a choice," Grey said, eyes still half-lidded. "You're someone I've already beaten. You don't seriously think I want to waste more time talking to you, do you?"
He spoke calmly, almost lazily. "Team Rocket Executive Archer—your bounty isn't just worth that little amount."
"I…"
Archer choked on his words.
Meeting Grey's gaze, he felt like a hunter had locked onto him.
"You promised you wouldn't make a move here. You can't go back on that."
Archer suddenly remembered the "agreement" from earlier and hurried to remind him.
"A person has to keep their word. Surely Gym Leader Grey values that even more, right?"
"Yeah, I'm usually the most honest Trainer around," Grey said, sounding almost amused. "You just gave me a good reminder—so…"
He snapped his fingers. "Time to change battlefields."
Snap.
The moment the sound fell—
Psychic power surged from Sabrina's side, wrapping them up. In an instant, the two of them—and Archer—were transported somewhere else.
The back alley.
A familiar place. The same kind of place where Grey had dealt with Team Rocket members before.
Come to think of it, this should be the third time he'd arrested Team Rocket in an alley like this.
Returning to an old scene…
Honestly, it felt pretty good.
"Oh, right—there's one more thing we're doing today," Grey said unhurriedly, fingers flying across his phone screen like a storm. "Mr. Archer, don't even think about trying anything. Otherwise… you know what I'm capable of."
On the screen, he typed out a title:
Title: Righteous Grey & Sabrina vs. Team Rocket Executive
Tags: [Team Rocket Executive] [Live Arrest] [Justice Enforcement] [Team Rocket Four Admins]
"Alright, livestream's ready. Afternoon, everyone. Today's stream is a live, on-site arrest of Team Rocket~"
After starting the stream, Grey handed his phone to Riolu.
No flashy intro. The moment he was done, Grey turned to face Archer directly—his eyes sharp as blades.
"Grey, are you seriously determined to arrest me today?!"
Archer clicked his tongue. He hadn't expected Grey to go so far as to teleport him into the back alley just to catch him.
This "luring you into a trap" move was downright sinister.
[Seriously, Gym Leader Grey arrests Team Rocket every weekend, huh?]
[Wait—Sabrina's here too?! Sabrina, good luck! Grey, let's go!]
[But weren't Gym Leader Grey and Sabrina just in Saffron City's financial district? How'd they suddenly end up in the back alley?]
[They got chased off by the locals, obviously. I'm a tourist—I wanted to spot them in person, but the locals saw Sabrina and acted like they'd seen the plague. That's awful!]
[Th-that… there's a reason for it.]
[What reason? I don't even know if the rumors are true, but Sabrina is arresting Team Rocket right now. And earlier she even arrested one of Team Rocket's four admins, Ariana. You're treating a hero like that?]
The viewers were completely baffled. Even if Sabrina's temper used to be bad, she hadn't committed some unforgivable crime—and now she was fighting for Saffron City's safety.
And yet?
She ran into a whole crowd of people who couldn't even bother to fake basic politeness. Their disgust was obvious.
If Sabrina were a little more extreme, the financial district might've been flattened on the spot.
"Archer. Team Rocket Executive. Also the strongest of the four admins. Bounty in the tens of millions. Strength comparable to an Elite Four member."
Grey laid Archer's information out plainly, instantly making the livestream audience suck in a cold breath.
Some of them even started worrying whether Grey and Sabrina could actually handle Archer.
They'd dealt with Archer before, sure, but there hadn't been much of a straight-up fight—they'd basically convinced him to surrender.
After all, his colleague Ariana had been turned into a doll. Archer didn't want to become a doll too.
"In just one week, Grey's Pokémon shouldn't have gotten that ridiculous…"
Archer swallowed, thinking back to how things looked the last time he faced Grey.
At most, only Annihilape had reached Elite Four level. Aside from Articuno, the rest of Grey's Pokémon were basically in "get one-shot" territory.
A single week wasn't enough—even if Grey improved insanely fast, there was no way his whole team jumped to that level!
And Sabrina?
Judging by how she looked, if she didn't use her psychic power, she was just a strong Gym Leader.
At best, she was at the "Elite Four gatekeeper" level.
But me—Archer, the strongest of the four admins—I have true Elite Four–level strength!
So what if it's two gatekeepers?
Not worth mentioning!
Archer hyped himself up, thoroughly gaslit himself into confidence, and then threw out two Poké Balls at once!
"Houndoom! Weavile! I choose you! Perfect timing—let them see, on livestream, just how powerful Team Rocket really is!"
Even if he couldn't beat Grey, Archer still roared to build momentum.
Maybe Boss Giovanni was watching too. If he saw Archer working this hard, he'd definitely feel comforted!
No achievements? At least there's effort!
The harder you work, the luckier you get.
I'll win!
"Oh~ It's those two familiar Pokémon again~ Sabrina, let's go together!"
Seeing the Pokémon Archer sent out, Grey's grin widened as he and Sabrina threw out their partners at the same time.
"Gallade!"
"Alakazam!"
Gallade and Alakazam hit the field—making Archer's eyelid twitch hard.
Psychic-types were weak to Dark-types.
But the ones commanding them were Grey and Sabrina—two completely overpowered monsters.
And also—why is that Gallade Elite Four level now?!
Wasn't it just normal Gym-level last time?!
How did it jump straight to Elite Four level after one week?
Speedrunning Elite Four in half a month, is that it?!
Archer felt like cursing out loud.
Every time Grey sent out Pokémon, it made Archer want to scream.
It looked like Archer had the advantage…
but in reality, he was already at a disadvantage.
"Mr. Archer," Grey said with a half-smile, "if you're not going to attack, then just surrender and let yourself be arrested."
"I don't need you to tell me that! Houndoom—Dark Pulse! Weavile—Icicle Crash!"
"Awooo!"
Houndoom stomped forward. A dark aura spread as a compressed, ringed wave of energy blasted toward Alakazam!
The instant Dark Pulse fired, Weavile slashed its claws—several jagged icicles formed above Gallade and Alakazam, then smashed down hard from overhead!
