Two days later.
Early in the morning, Summer Shawcross's phone kept ringing nonstop.
She groggily opened her eyes, reached out to grab the phone from the bedside table, slid her fingers across the screen, and then put the phone to her ear.
"Summer, where are you now? Hurry up and come to the company, I have to tell you, the company plans to heavily promote you this time!" as soon as the call connected, a woman's excited voice came through.
"Who are you..." Summer Shawcross was still half-asleep, her mind in a fog.
"I'm your manager! How can you not recognize me?" The person on the other side said somewhat speechlessly.
Manager...
Hearing the other's voice, Summer Shawcross suddenly remembered something and jolted awake.
She almost forgot that she even had a manager!
"I'm sorry, Jessica. I was still half-asleep just now," Summer Shawcross laughed dryly, hurriedly apologizing.
But there was a two-second silence on the other end, followed by a slightly grieved voice.
