Chapter 234 - Chapter 234

"The first one is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit called the Teleport-Teleport Fruit. In the ancient Great Kingdom, people used to call it the Shangri-La Teleportation Array.

The user can establish teleportation anchors between islands, allowing instant transportation of people or goods between them.

I've studied the Five Elders' cube-shaped teleportation sigil — it seems to share a similar ability factor with this fruit. Perhaps they're from the same lineage of powers.

The stronger the user, the more anchors they can create, and the farther the teleportation range becomes.

This power will be extremely useful for us to establish a lunar base, so we must find a capable user to develop this Devil Fruit as soon as possible."

Vegapunk then pointed to the second one.

"As for the other fruit — it's the Paramecia-type Direction-Direction Fruit. It can control the movement and trajectory of objects.

If developed properly and if the user has enough stamina, this ability could alter the direction of any attack — making the user nearly impossible to injure!"

Vegapunk's tone was calm, but even he couldn't hide his admiration. Both fruits were exceptionally rare and potentially game-changing.

"Teleportation Fruit… Direction Fruit… teleportation arrays and directional control?" Souta Kiryuu's eyes lit up. "Perfect. It's exactly what I needed."

For him, the Teleport-Teleport Fruit could one day make interplanetary travel easier — far more convenient than the Paw-Paw Fruit when journeying to the moon.

And the Direction-Direction Fruit reminded him of a concept from another world — something akin to a "vector controller." If developed to the level of altering the direction of large-scale phenomena, it could become a god-tier ability.

The only uncertainty was whether the ability required continuous stamina to maintain, or if it worked passively like the Float-Float Fruit — remaining active as long as the user lived and stayed conscious.

If it were the latter, it would be absolutely broken.

"I'll make sure these two fruits find the most suitable users." Souta Kiryuu smiled faintly, taking both fruits in hand as he left Vegapunk's lab. It was time to select their new wielders.

His next stop — recruiting the legendary pirates: Redfield, Douglas Bullet, and World. If he could win them over, his war against the World Government would be nearly unstoppable.

The God Island Prison – Apayado

Inside the prison of the Sky Island known as Apayado, three infamous figures were confined.

"Redfield," Kiryuu said calmly, standing before the crimson-eyed vampire. "I've discovered traces of the Vampire Fruit. If you're not interested, I'll give it to someone else."

He turned to the next cell.

"World — your old subordinates have been working on a massive island battleship. Don't you want to find them again?"

Then his gaze shifted to the third.

"Bullet — would you like to learn how to coat your Conqueror's Haki? I can teach you. And if you're interested in fighting the Five Elders or the Four Emperors, I can make that happen too."

Souta Kiryuu's voice was calm but persuasive. If he could earn even partial cooperation from these three legends, the World Government would face a nightmare.

The three men fell silent. Their current conditions on the Sky Island were barely better than the eternal hell of Impel Down. One meal a day, minimal freedom, and endless isolation.

As for the other captured pirates, Kiryuu alternated between intimidation and reward.

He had Trafalgar Law extract their hearts, ensuring obedience, then restored their strength and health through proper food and treatment.

He planned to give them a trial period — as forced laborers on the moon.

Up there, escape was impossible. Any sign of rebellion would meet despair beyond imagination.

Only those who proved themselves through loyalty and skill would be allowed to return to Sky Island and officially join the Kiryuu Pirates.

Those whose hearts and lives were literally under Kiryuu's control had no choice but to obey.

Some even began showing initiative — trying to earn favor and official membership.

One such example was Basco Shot, the Heavy Drinker. He had voluntarily offered his heart to Kiryuu, earning immediate acceptance into the crew — skipping the lunar labor test entirely.

Now, the man was comfortably drinking rum while supervising other prisoners.

Even Shiryu of the Rain hadn't expected that the Kiryuu Pirates' base was hidden in the sky all along. No wonder the Marines and the World Government had failed to find them despite years of searching.

When Shiryu witnessed the Six Paths of Kiryuu — Souta's six battle avatars — training in formation, he was completely shaken. Their coordination and power were beyond anything he'd ever seen.

And then there were the fruits — the powers of Whitebeard, Big Mom, and others — all seized by Kiryuu.

At this rate, it wouldn't be long before they stormed Mariejois itself.

When that day came, Shiryu thought, perhaps he would finally taste the blood of a Celestial Dragon.

Souta even asked him casually, "Is there any particular Devil Fruit you've got your eye on? I can have my men hunt it down for you."

Shiryu blinked, stunned. "You've even mastered the technology to steal Devil Fruit powers now? Truly… the world's greatest scientist is at your side."

He naturally assumed that the extraction technique came from Vegapunk. After all, once he saw the terrifying Seraphim "Six Paths," he realized how fearsome science could be.

With such an option on the table, Shiryu decided to wait — to find a fruit that truly matched his heart before claiming it.

The Golden Palace of Apayado

In the magnificent golden palace, Nico Robin stood before Kiryuu, holding several reports.

"Captain, we've located Eustass Kid. Not long ago, his crew entered the Grand Line and are currently sailing along the first half of it.

Also, the people you were searching for — Death God Doc Q, Van Augur, and Scratchmen Apoo — have all been traced as well."

Robin had taken over much of Lafitte's intelligence network, managing communications with both the Revolutionary Army and Morgans of the World Economic News.

"Excellent," Kiryuu said with a calm grin. "Kid's mine."

He needed to settle the Amazon Lily situation quickly — for Boa Hancock and the Kuja Tribe to live without fear.

Once he neutralized the magnetic navigation threat, he could either lift Amazon Lily back to the Sky Islands… or wait until his future Teleport-Teleport Fruit user was strong enough to create a permanent teleportation gate there.

Robin continued, "Morgans also reported that the Marine Buster Call fleet entered the Calm Belt — but they've since returned to Marine Headquarters."

Luckily, Kiryuu had moved Amazon Lily just in time. Had they hesitated, the island might have been obliterated by now.

"Have there been any large-scale fleet deployments from the Marines or the World Government recently?" Kiryuu asked, his brow slightly furrowed.

He still worried about Amazon Lily — Gloriosa's concern weighed on him. He had even considered relocating the Kuja Tribe entirely, abandoning Amazon Lily to break any permanent Log Pose links — but Gloriosa refused.

Amazon Lily was sacred to the Kuja Tribe — it was where their Holy Water, the essence that ensured only daughters were born, originated.

Abandoning it would mean losing their cultural and biological identity — turning them into just another ordinary island.

Robin shook her head. "According to current intel, no. Only routine Marine patrols and standard pirate hunts.

Both Mariejois and Marineford seem unnervingly quiet right now — the calm before a storm."
